You guys ready for another year? Will be our 4th, if I'm not mistaken.

Is anyone else getting tired of these 4 week long drafts? Or is it just me?

I was thinking of setting up the site with maybe a 10 minute or less time limit to make a pick. We could Vote on a date that is good for everyone. Our most active year was at Sandbox when the computer selected out rosters. Lots of trades that year. Who could forget the Shawn Marion for an aging Patrick Ewing trade? Ugh

I want feedback!!! Whatever you guys want works for me.

    The Owners from last year:

    Crisco
    Pimp
    Smeg
    PSJ
    D0D
    Behad
    Fade
    BobFinn
    Cat
    DarkHorse
    Jent
    moestavern19
    Heath
    SSG

I'm in. Defending my title. ;)

I don't care how you draft. I do like the fast draft. But I know I'll be busy the next few weeks. So I will be hit or miss until like September. The Astros, Rockets, and Texans will be a major scheduling problem for many of us.

If you guys need a replacement, let me know and "The Rook" would love to do it.

Unlike baseball and football, I'll go easy on ya..... ;) :p

You are 2nd in line. Castor is first. I may expand to 16 teams depending on feedback. Would love to have you join us.

Thats why I am 90% sure that I will go the computer draft way. Everyone will rank their players and the computer will make their picks.

Plus there really isn't enough time to hold a 6 month draft before the season starts. Once I get a head count i will set everything up and you guys can rank your players accordingly and we will go from there.

This is the one year when a fast draft might be a problem for me, unless you make it on a Sunday evening or late afternoon. Then, it should be all good.

I have no problem with that. Give me a date and we will go from there.

    In.

Wouldn't mind more owners if there was indeed a fast draft. Want a fast draft. As long as there is some means to prerank all the players, there really isn't much of an excuse to not have a fast draft, even if one or two peeps can't make it.

Can someone refresh me on the lineups and scoring?

    I believe it was

    -1 for turnover
    point for point
    1 point for 3ptr made
2 points for rebounds, steal, block, assist

lineup was 1C, 2G, 2F, and how many flex? 2? Don't remember roster size either.

I'm in...I like the idea of the fast (or auto) draft as well.

yeah i am in, like the fast draft idea, although not sure about more players, actually think we should go less or at least reduce the players on each roster then again

I guess I'm in. Drafting my own team has always been one of the most enjoyable parts of each season, so I prefer to go the live route. We're only a day or two behind right now, but if we did pretty well with the 10 hour time limit last year. But whatever is agreed upon...

Also, what site are we going to use to determine position eligibility? To avoid any confusion, this needs to be done before the draft.

I'll join in the line in case enough people decide not to return.

As much as I hate the waiting of the live draft at times, I prefer it to the automated/computer drafts. It feels like you're more part of a draft that way. But it's your league d00d. :) How did our time limit from last year work out? Was it 12 hours? Did we still have problems?

    Assists 2
    Total Rebounds 2
    Technical Fouls -3
    Turnovers -1
    Blocks 2
    Three Pointers Made 1
    Points 1
    Steals 2

It was 3 flex players and the rosters were 12 players

Last year was 12 hours and we got done in a little over 2 weeks.

I think if we could get most of us together for one night we could get it done. We could agree on a time limit between picks, say 5 or 10 minutes, so there would not be a long wait between picks. Whoever couldn't make an agreed upon time and date could just pre-rank the players or have someone pick for them.

If you can't log on to see peoples ranked lists, I think you should collect the pre-ranked lists from everyone. Then if they don't show up for the "Quick" draft you have something in your hand to work with.
