We still have two games to play Portland this season @Toyota center. We desperately need to take both to gain tiebreak and conference ranking advantage over them, it is time to show whether our players have heart.
    Beat Portland!

If Denver wins that division, the tiebreaker could be crucial. It's a big game, for sure. Gotta keep it goin'!

The last game these two teams played was an all-out nail biter till the end. Brandon Roy kicked every Rockets fan in the gut with his crazy shot at the end to win it for the Blazers. It would be sweet if the Rockets could control this game and not make it so tense till the end like that game was.

Time will tell. This is a big game for the Rockets due to the situation their in with playoff seeds and such, but every game is big for the Rockets from here on out. The Bobcat game was important, this game is important, the Cavs game is important...(you get my point). Rockets will need to bring good defense and have their list of stars come to the dance. Brooks, Artest, Yao...along with the great hustle of Scula and hopefully a returning Landry. Blazers arent the best on the road and I can see the Rockets taking this one. Thursday's game against the Cavs is going to be tough, but first thing first and that is the Portland Trailblazers tomorrow night.

We need to stop LA, he is going to **** all over Scola, i suggest we use Artest for the first few trips down and put that p***y back in his place.

    Great thread. 5 stars.

We need this win, better big win, also we need to revenge Blazers. Roy's horrible shot gave us the first losing streak. By 99-101. Good news is Blazers are not so well as they are at home, also our home record is great.

    Go, ROCKETS!

We should be able to beat the Blazers at home. Our new style of pushing the ball up court and making things happen really opens things up for guys like Artest, Yao, and Battier, makes it easier for them. I expect Artest to be very physical with Brandon Roy. Our defense cant just be good or good enough tonight. We are playing a very good quality basketball team tonight. Our defense needs to be great tonight. I think this along with the Cavaliers game will be a playoff intensity atmosphere in Houston. All the haters have started saying our season is done. With a good win tonight and Thursday night, we can re solidify ourselves as a threat in the Western Conference.

I agree, we have to put Artest on Aldridge for a few possesions, give him different looks, thing is, they have quick 3`s, so we wouldn`t be able to put Scola on any other player.

Other option could be start attacking him from the very beggining, maybe Scola`s way to attack the basket could get him in foul trouble.

    "Final Thoughts

We have a little cushion on this trip so a loss tonight wouldn't be a disaster. A win would be phenomenal though."

Ha, they are already saying a loss isn't the end of the world!

For the Rockets to win today, they'll need to make sure that Fernandez, Aldridge, and Outlaw don't get off like they did against us the first time.
They can still win if Roy get his but those other guys have to be kept in check. Fernandez and Outlaw had hit like 5 three pointers late in that game that kept killing us. Aldridge kept them ahead in the game with Landry and Hayes fouling him.

I hope they can pull this off because they need to stay ahead of the Jazz. The Jazz are on a roll and they could pass up the Nuggets and Blazers.
