Its a little more than just that. I don't think the HC matters all that much in that process.. but a lot of these players have homes/families in St. Louis. A lot of those families are likely going to stay in St. Louis due to the inherent issues with moving, leading to many players being on a "permanent" road trip of sorts. Some players will make choices on whether or not they even want to stay with the team based on this move. A new fan base cheering for you is also a whole new ballgame. All of these fans are not loyal... they're t-shirt fans. There's a whole lot more attention thrown at a new franchise (sponsorships, radio/TV commitments, community requests). There will be a full-on push by the LA community to make this franchise the pre-eminent organization in the NFL, and in sports. But like I said... I don't think the head coach is vital to that whole process, nor do I think Fisher's "experience" in it can really be drawn upon some 20+ years later, in a much different world/league.

Certainly more so than basketball, but baseball wins in a landslide there. There's a reason you have certain teams regularly repeating and sustaining performance in the NFL. MLB playoffs are a virtual crapshoot because so much is dependent on the performance of a single starting pitcher.
Pagano just got a contract extension. Wow. Why do you say this? This should be of no concern to the Texans. Our performance shouldn't depend on other teams' hirings. Yeap. I should edit my comment, but... I still think it was bad to let any talks out to any "source", regardless of how credible it was. Unless they explicitly said to in a press release...
If the rumors are true, Colts were negotiating with Sean Payton at the same time as Pagano... and those talks broke down leading to the Colts sticking with Pagano. I'd much rather face a Chuck Pagano-coached team than a Sean Payton/Andrew Luck combo... Payton may be the perfect coach to get Luck to the next level (remember, even pre-injury, Luck was not doing all that well).

I wonder how much control he will have on picking his new staff now. If he has little it could create dysfunction which is all good for the Texans
Pagano is a defensive guy. Firing his assistants on defense and believing that will solve the problem makes me laugh.
I don't know if there's any divides between Grigson and Pagano, but this is just the funniest news. 2016 draft will probably go back to back RBs.

Brees is probably staying. I don't think his contract is up(or is it?) but either way they want/need him to take a pay cut or restructure his deal. Something like $30M salary or $30M against the cap.
