TRB%(Total Rebound Percentage; formula is 100 * (TRB * (Tm MP / 5)) / (MP * (Tm TRB + Opp TRB)). Total rebound percentage is an estimate of the percentage of available rebounds a player grabbed while he was on the floor.)

    Career - Larry Bird 14.5%, Lebron 10.5%.

And Bird played with McHale and Parish and with Bosh and...Haslem? Basketball IQ over athleticism.

MJ is the Hulk Hogan of the NBA. No matter who you compare him to they just never seem to measure up.

Bird was the most tactical player that I ever say in the nba. If MJ beat you with athletic-ability, Bird beat you with his mind.

Bird played mind games against teams. I saw Bird shoot a 3 when an opponent was about to make a run, just to make you believe that you can't win.

No player in the history of the nba played the mental game better than Bird. People that didn't see it are clueless to Bird's ways he used to win games. It wasn't about how much he could score or about taking the game over, it was all about getting into your head.

Yeah, I watched. I also watched the Bulls in the 90's. All those Cav's games were close just like all those Bulls games were close. The only difference is Jordan wanted the ball in crunch time and LeBron didn't. As I said before, MORE EXCUSES.

LeBron isn't the only person who left the team. Shaq, Mo Williams and West were just a few who left. With LeBron, that's 66.3 pts, 19.8 rbs and 18.7 ast a game. They were supposed to keep the best record in the league with that much production gone?

Fixed one for you -- there probably could be a couple more.

Jordan took 7 years not 6.

As for Pippen being closer to Bosh than Wade, how many times has Bosh finished in the top 3 for league MVP voting (Pippen did in 1994, as well as being 5th in 1996).

And we are talking about the same Bosh who led his team to the playoffs in a weak conference exactly twice in his seven year career before going to Miami, right? And then lost in the first round both times. His team won fewer than 40 games four out of seven years and now that the Heat have won a championship, everyone wants to pretend that Bosh is/was a HOFer just to discredit Lebron.

Wasn't Mo Williams there until halfway through the season? They still did pretty bad even with him. And Lebron led the Cavs to the Finals and ECF before Delonte and Shaq got there.

Chris Bosh is a 7x All Star and will be one for the foreseeable future. He also has a Gold Medal and would have been on the Olympic team again this year if not for an injury. If Bill Walton in a HOFer, then i'm pretty sure that Bosh will end up being one. Since you LeBron apologist love to say he had no help, who did Bosh have in Toronto? Exactly why he rarely made the playoffs there. As for Pip, do you really think he was a top 15 player in the league in 94? The Bulls were going to trade him in his PRIME for Shawn Kemp. Yes, Shawn Kemp was better than him back then before he became a crack head.

What he did in the playoffs this year was just insane. Even more than I expected and I expect a lot out of LeBron. I always saw the greatness in him as you guys know. But, Bird is right, he never had a bad game and he was the rock while Bosh was out and while Wade was having 4pt games. It was a historic run.

It'll come down to how many repeat performances, a few more and he's up there.

A huge issue will also be how lebron ages, all players games need to change as their athleticism gives way to age.

He isn't the champion Michael was. Rings matter. Michael was a killer, a true competitor. He would hunt you down, take the kill shot, then consume your carcass.

Nice try but Mo Williams played with Cleveland in 2011 in the first half and was significantly worse. THat's what happens when the best player in the game leaves.

    Win shares:

    LeBron James 18.3

    Mo Willliams 6.7

    Shaq 3.1
    West 3.3

    Their replacements

    Mo Williams + Ramon Sessions = -0.1 + 4.4

    Ryan Hollins 1.8

    Daniel Gibson 2.4

Not only did LeBron's loss make them worse by subtracting 20 wins, he actually made other players like Mo Williams play better.

LeBron's team went from first to worst, almost entirely due to his loss.

Jordan's team went from first to first.

In his era, Bird could defend.

I'm not sure he'd be as good in today's NBA with even better athletes and less physical play.

    Sam knows

He was being sarcastic. That they were still good, while the Cavs were terrible was exactly his point.

It's amazing how many fans don't know the difference between the conference finals and the conference semi-finals...

Because everyone felt the winner of that series was going to the finals.
