Simmons brings up that Dwight is a legit MVP candidate. Playing near Orlando Dwight levels.

Lowe than says the only problem there is Harden is playing just about as well. Though he said Dwight is probably more important to the team because he is the teams anchor on defense.

I read somewhere Isaiah Thomas is the problem. I'll try to find it.

In any case, I'd take Dragic back. Not Bledsoe at $14 mil.

They did say a little about Harden being an obstruction for Dwight's MVP push since Harden is so good.

I was pretty disappointed they didnt say anything about Ariza being a really good fit for Houston. Bill bashed the signing initially. He even said Ariza would be unmotivated since it wasn't a contract year.

So it seems Boogie is a damn genius for running Isiah Thomas out of Sacramento? Wow. Up is down, left is right...

Boogie was a supporter of Thomas. The Kings front office and coaching were constantly looking to replace Thomas.

The Suns problems can be attributed to losing Frye but they're winning for now.

So does Isaiah Thomas also has the Rudy Gay syndrome?

Ive heard on Grantland Podcasts that Boogie didn't like that Thomas didn't pass to him enough. The reason the front office was trying to replace Thomas was because of Boogie's insistence.

So why did they draft Tyler Ennis with their first-round pick? That was a complete waste.

I'm still shocked on how they got Thomas.

Rudy Gay has been having a spectacular year and his team is playing really well. I know he hasn't been efficient earlier in his career but ever since he had dawned a Kings Jersey he has been playing at an all star level.

This Kings team is scary.....they are currently dominating the mavs in dallas.

They are both equally important. Howard's Rockets would go nowhere without the playmaking of Harden.

Yeah but how on earth can a team effectively have three 20 point scorers on their team and not be dysfunctional? Given that Thomas is the odd man out being a PG (and even if you don't like Gay/Cousins, you have to admit that running an offense with a Center & Wing that are your leading scorers is certainly better than three scorers competing for the ball) makes sense they sent him packing.

I haven't watched them, but since when did a team with a 4-3 record (each loss wasn't all that bad, Memphis/improved Sacramento in OT & on a back to back in Utah) that beat the champs and beat the current media favorite in Golden State indicate early season issues?

And since when did Phoenix become a title contender? I thought they'd have a 7th or 8th seed this season and they're exactly on target for such a seed. They're 3 moves away at least from being a contender.

And thats 3 major moves, they need another star and a great big man at the very least before we start talking about them. But they are absolutely loaded with assets and have the potential to become a good basketball team over time.

Is it really a bad start? They are 4-3 with wins @LAC and against the Spurs and Warriors. 2 of their 3 losses are to teams off to very good starts, one in OT.

For a team with no true superstars, they seem like they are doing as well as could be expected.

The Suns are about what they were last year. The issue is that they don't seem to have improved. These guys are just a bit above where the 2009-12 Rockets were-- good enough to have a winning record but not close to contention. I'm sure their GM is looking to score their own "Harden trade" and "Dwight signing." But it takes some luck to pull those off. And with free agency, it doesn't look like any of the big names are looking at them at all-- those guys had plenty of cap space and it was reported that they even talked to LeBron's agent but they didn't end up with anyone other than Isaiah Thomas.

Meanwhile, they are just a collection of assets waiting to be traded.

It's a perception issue- the Suns won so many more games last year than most observers predicted that many of those same prognosticators are overcompensating and are now overrating their talent.
