If you let a coach go after 3 winning seasons and 2 division titles in 3 years, you might as well be the 49ers and Bills.
I honestly have no idea what he can do with a competent QB and a good OL. Not that he doesn't have his faults as a coach/GM, but still.
If Mcnair is thinking this, the is the only way to justify him getting fired. I just think that the team needs a change at gm just as much.
I could see thinking that if all context about this season was ignored.....and if Bob McNair is thinking like that, we're on our way to becoming the Browns.
Rome as HC, Vrabel as DC and Gary Kubiak as OC wouldn't tickle your fancy? Imagine the press conferences
I would agree. 3 years....how about 10? What is smith doing (besides selectively crediting himself) that keeps his job untouchable?
Kubiak would make a good OC, but he's leaving coaching due to health problems so I don't think he's available, and RAC has no business as a head coach. He honestly needs to retire too. I'm not a big fan of BOB due to a host of reasons, but I think forcing an OC on him is the best bet moving forward.
Jay Glazer must not be getting many page clicks these days...gotta make somethin up to stay relevant...
I agree with you but I think he's stuck in his ways and won't go for it which could lead to a separation. Kubes doesn't handle being head man well but in Baltimore he did great as an OC and it didn't bother his health
Well if you consider what the Texans had to overcome this season and realize that they were still in a position to bench starters in the last game of the season due to locking up the division already, then you won't care that they were 9-7 because you'd realize that if they wanted to win the last game, they could have.......and if not for a massive number of key injuries they'd likely be closer to 12-4. If you can't do that and instead just focus on 9-7 to make your decisions, the franchise is sunk. You can't have someone that incompetent making decisions.
I thought o'brian was already coaching that east dillon university after that 1-5 start last year. =/ I still don't like that he doesn't protect his qbs, the 4th and 1 qb sneak in a meaningless game is just another example, allowing brock so much freedom at the line, having fitzie under gun from the texans 10 when all you had to do was kneel the freaking ball after jumping on the steelers.
No but playing devils advocate, our offense is **** and that's kinda his fault, he deserves no lollipops. This is obviously a rumor sent out by McNair to force an OC on O'Brien to punish him for the Assweiler fiasco
