Quite true. It just so happens that our bad nights happen during the playoffs..when it counts the most.
I agree with this. They want the Durant/Westbrook narrative to play out like no other. With that said, sometimes I feel like they are pretenders. But sometimes I think about how different the playoffs can be and Melo just might be the X-Factor for them. BUT, if we feel like we are build to defend the warriors, then we are definitely capable of defending OKC...even with Melo having good nights. Having Ariza, Luc, CP3, and Tucker just makes me feel so much more confident.
Everyone is a threat. I don't take anything for granted. It would be such a Houston sports thing for the Rockets to take down the Warriors only to cough up the finals against Cleveland or Toronto...
Spurs even at full strength this year I would not think could overtake the Rockets this season. Rockets are too good. Raptors? not so much...
They're their own biggest threat. Everyone is giddy with the current win streak, and rightfully so given they still have injuries. But let's not overlook the fact that Ryno, EG, PJ generally have been in a funk for a while. They don't need all of those guys to show up, but do need 2 out of 3. Then of course there's the Harden/Paul playoff "issues". If they don't have their own problems, they are a lock for the WCF and a deep series against GSW.
You must have missed his Finals performance against the Mavs. The man was the definition of a mental midget in the series.
1) Warriors. Rockets can win with focus on limiting production from cutters/putbacks. ....................Turnovers. GSW’s are currently 29th (14.5 TO’s/game) ....................Houston 9th/10th (12.8 TO’s/game). ..........Game 1 (Oct 17) Rockets won. Houston 12 TO’s; GSW’s 17 TO’s ..........Game 2 (Jan 4) GSW’s won. GSW’s 12 TO’s; Rockets 10 TO’s ..........Game 3 (Jan 20) Rockets won; Houston 15 TO’s; GSW’s 19 TO’s .....................Players missed games and Rockets defenders are part of the story. Fact of the matter is the .....................Rockets can drop down to 10 players and not miss a beat. Warriors will need to drop to about .....................7 players to cut out all the TO’s. This will put Nick Young, Bell (rookie) and Casspi in to question .....................for not being where they should be or on the same page with true rotational players. 2) Cleveland. Need more time to study this group; like Warriors have potential to push Rockets to 6 or 7 games. 3) Thunder. Play well vs top tier teams. Will Thunder get by one of the second tier level team(s)?
