he's a Bama fan. Bear Bryant was their most famous coach, before Saban.

    "Insulting and stereotyping people"?

You might want to go back and reread this thread from where I chimed in. I gave an opinion on why (and who) kept UH out of the SWC for yrs, and then stated facts about how UH fared with against UT the first 15 yrs they were in the same conference.

If you want to call it "insulting" DUMBARTONBASS after he called UH "Cougar high, and explaining where the phrase came from then by all means go ahead.

    So again, "insulting and stereotyping"?

Please enlighten me or show my quotes of doing this?

Did I insult you by saying UT has sucked the past 5 yrs? It's a fact Brando, just as it's a fact UH went winless one yr under Dimel, and there have been countless other yrs we sucked as well. It sucked but it was the truth!!

    "Stereotyping"?
Please show me where I did this?

I guess it's not insulting to put UH down by calling it Cougar high, or that UH isn't a good academic school?

    Brando, lighten up!!
Again if we were in a bar right now, having some drinks and talking about this, from my perspective there wouldn't be anyone bent out of shape about this.

We obviously love our respective schools, and last I checked this is a fan forum.

As I've stated previously I dare anyone to find one negative comment I've made about UT since I've been a member of this forum (at least I can't think of one).

Tinman, you and me are good my friend. I get your sense of humor, and if we were in bar right now we'd be laughing our @$$ off going back and forth with all of this. I take NO offense to anything you said.

Personally I'd love for UH to be in the Big XII, but I just don't think it's going to happen. I hope I'm wrong.

I see ya working tinman, but comparing UT to a child molester?

I would prefer being compared to Tito over Jermaine if that's ok?

Goodness, if you can't handle a little college-related ribbing, maybe UH isn't ready for a big time conference and the banter that comes along with it.

There's the infamous UH inferiority complex rearing its ugly head.

    - Not a UH or UT "fan" per se, but a supporter of both

Will do - I tend to get more excited as the season gets closer! I've been basically traveling for the last month so I haven't been reading or posting much here. Came back to this thread and my first reaction was just "WTF happened here?" :)

Thank you! Obviously I'm trolling for fun. There isn't a dedicated Bama thread and I'm bored and this seems to be the most active thread in this forum so I decided to poke the bear (see what I did there muahaha)

My $0.02: UH needs the big 12. If the big 12 says no then UH needs to say goodbye to Herman in a year or two when the right job opens up. If the Big 12 says yes then Herman will stay at least a couple of years and staying beyond that depends on how well his teams do.

But yeah, until UH joins a big time conference they'll forever be a stepping stone in the coaching world for a good coach to jump ship to a bigger program.

    Bear,

UH is opening the season with OU in Houston. How many Sooner fans do you think will show up?

Word from the ticket office is the split is 35-40% OU and 60-65% UH.

    I'd say 25-27K is a good bet.

I'm going to be at the UH/OU game wearing my UT gear (Probably just a hat), but I will be a die hard Cougar fan the entire game. Be nice to me there bruhs.

This is actually a hard game to root for for Longhorn fans.
OU is #3, we want them to be ranked that high or higher when we face them.

    think big brother

Sorry, but I will never in my life root for an OU win. It's just not possible whatsoever. I'm wanting to see UH do this to the Sooners.

That's how I was with A&M but I prefer if OU goes to Dallas in October undefeated. That being said, I'm not going to be cheering anyone on.

I want us to actual play in a meaningful bowl game, preferable the playoffs.

Sorry dude, I don't like missing bowl games or getting a crappy Texas Bowl.

I want the glory of defeating OU when they are on their high horse and getting a BCS level bowl.

    undefeated Texas vs undefeated OU.

that being said, OU is favored by 10.
