Not surprised, so who still wants to defend the Rockets by saying it was just precaution, irritation and he would be back soon?

Bev may have lost his starting job for good...
Or until Gordon gets dinged up.
I think Ariza's durability is an overlooked aspect when looking at his comps (chandler bang, batum, etc)

Keep putting off the inevitable and wasting time.

maybe he's one of those who keeps visiting doctors till he hears the story he wants. something really strange about his avoiding meniscus clean-up for so many years now

I hope it's a successful surgery and Bev comes back strong. Yes, a bit odd that it wasn't done during the off-season (maybe more than a bit odd), but it is what it is. We'll miss having him in the backcourt, but not if he has a gimpy knee. Hope this takes care of it, and I wish him well.

Maybe this is a sign from the Basketball gods telling us he's not worth been the starter? I've been saying this for 3 years, Patrick Beverley is overrated. At his best, he's a good back up. This might be a good thing for the Rockets not to have him.

Adversity leads to opportunity and this is an opportunity for KJ to see if he can be an Rotational Player.

    So annoying.
This is pure negligence of the Rockets medical staff and Beverly himself.
There's no excuse for something like that just before the season starts.
We're having a tough start anyways and just made it more difficult of not taking care of stuff early.

I guess better now than at the end of the season…but this is the kind of thing the offseason is for.

I wish him the best in recovery. When he comes back, we need the old PBev. The up-in-yo-grill PBev. The borderline dirty PBev. We don't need him to handle or score. We need him to harass and hustle. He might be outdated anyway, KJ McDaniels is filling the defensive wing/occasional scorer role quite well.

Hurts, but it's fine. I'm 100% on board with giving minutes to young guys this season, I don't mind watching Ennis make mistakes and learn the system. We are going to struggle in the first half anyway.
