I can't imagine the coaches would play him today if they didn't think he was ready to go. Having him back and rested could be huge at the end of a 4 in 5.
I love this guy. He's very tough-minded. If you don't like Patrick Beverley, I don't know what to tell you. You won't find a bigger fan of Jeremy Lin than me, but I am also a huge fan of Patrick Beverley.
I'm excited but frankly Bev is showing his age. The toughest thing for a young player to demonstrate is that variant of mental toughness called "patience". Players want to play, even when injured; however it's not always wise to come back early. TMac came back early. Lowry came back early. In both instances these guys weren't however fully healed; as a result, they played under their level, hurt the team more than helped, and thankfully didn't reinjure themselves. Did the doctor clear him? or was it Bev's own decision? They said 10-14 days and it's only been like 5. Excited, but cautious.
He saw Westbrook come back and thought, "If he come back early, I shall too." lolol Great news, though! It seems we have been losing guys to injuries every game so far, so its great to get guys back like Casspi tonight. I hope he isn't pushing himself though, it's way too early in the season for pushing to get back on the court. I hope he only needs to play 20 minutes max.
Yeah...Chris Paul wouldn't have absolutely shredded the defense like he did last night with Beverley in front of him. A much better matchup for CP's speed than Brooks or Lin. But Damian Lillard's no slouch either, we can certainly put his defense to use tonight.
I'm mostly concerned that Bev is going to come back early and re-injure the torn muscle. If he can play, great. If he's trying to man up, that's not a great idea this early in the season. The play off race is one thing, this early in the season might not be so wise. Either way, guess we'll see.
He would have fouled out even sooner. If you think Lin was responsible for last night's loss you're dreaming.
He shouldn't start. You don't want him to start coming back from an injury, especially early. In fact, his minutes may be limited.
i don't really care if he start or not, but one thing for sure, let's win the game either starter or bench... go ROX..
