I suggest you watch games prior to the Kobe era you might learn something. *Hint: If you don't have vcr tapes of old nba games, you can go to youtube and type NBA 90s full games
I'm sorry but Kukoc was nowhere near Bosh's level. That's absurd. Good lord you guys are overrating some of these players.
Kukoc and Harper are all-stars by themselves, add Pippen, Rodman or Grant and damn those teams definitely had a better cast. I do think Wade is better than Pippen considering he was a winner without Lebron and with Fat Shaq, Bosh is underrated too. He has really taken a back seat because statistically he is a 24/10 guy on any other team. He has also become more efficient and considering he is a big who spreads the court, that is impressive.
he coached Jordan and Kobe... he's the luckiest coach. but he failed to get a ring with a dream team in 03-40 against the Pistons.
Lmao. Lebron has more help than superstar in NBA history. He can literally sit out 15-20 minute stretches and his team will carry itself. The Bulls were great too, but Jordan made them better. Did Lebron make Wade or Bosh better? Um, no. They were already good
I think a lot of it wasn't just personnel but how good the triangle was at circumventing hand checking, it's pass initiation was golden for that era, but since they flipped the rule, penetration initiation became as good, if not better. And really Phil can't be blamed for 03-04, Kobe went full r****d that series, and you should never go full r****d.
I think the Spurs have 10 players better then the Heats second best player. Not much of a supporting cast.
lebon's supporting cast is fine. they're just complacent and entitled like the diva himself. here come the cleveland excuses all over again meanwhile, mj = 6-0 in finals Shaq = 4-1 Lbon = 2-3 probably wishes he could join the spurs next year
Heat team has great players....Spurs have just done a great job in adjusting their defense against them. As great as Lebron has played, the best player by far in this series...he has not really dominated the Spurs in a way that forced them to double or triple team him. He might dominate one qtr...but then for some funny reason he just goes passive. His great...but I have seen Jordan play and man...i tell you he was relentless.
Yeah but it don't mean **** if your other teammates suck e.g. Jordan vs. the bad boy Pistons It's a team sport.
Obviously not one person can win it. But Miami are the 2x defending champions with veterans and experience to climb to the top, and we all know how good Wade and Bosh normally are. But to be blown out by 15+ pts for 4 games out of 5 is damning. Not making excuses for Wade and Bosh, they were very sub par, but Spurs were able to basically guard Lebron 1v1 defense....he should have taken advantage of that and dominated by taking 25+ attempts per game and not worry about his FG%. He knew his team mates were struggling, by him forcing Spurs to double/triple team him...he would have made it easier for struggling Wade and Bosh (again not making excuses for his team mates). Watching this series, i did not have any feeling that Lebron took it to the Spurs other one qtr in some games.
They lost to a better team. Plus the best player in the series was a 23yr old named Kawhi. King Leonard?
LBJ ended up putting 31 pts/10 boards/5 assists on the board while being the target of the defense, how much more do you expect from him? By comparison the finals MVP Leonard had 20 pts, 10 rebs and just 2 assists and unlike Miami TD, Parker and Manu all chipped in with efficient games. If you're not just trolling the boards and want to have a legit discussion, then you have to understand that LBJ is more of a generalist like TD rather than a specialist like MJ. TD doesn't do anything exceptional, but he can do almost everything extremely well on the court. Same thing with LBJ, asking him to score 50 pts and will his way to victory like what MJ does is not his game, it'd be like asking Kobe to get 10 rebs and 5 assists to win the game. You need good teammates to win a ring, MJ is held as the GOAT by a lot of people but he didn't win a ring before Pippen and PJ and the Jordanners arrived. Trolls and haters will talk about Wade and Bosh and Allen but rather than focusing on names you have to look at the game and how much they contributed, Trevor Ariza for example is a nobody but he played like an allstar and contributed a lot to that Lakers run. On the other hand Ray Allen is regarded as one of the best shooters in the history of the NBA but shooting 1-8 the entire game didn't exactly help the Heat tonight.
