Android is really a mess right now with the amount of bloat Google, the manufacturer, and the carrier will put on every phone. The only way I go with them is to root straight out of the box.
Well that's compared to a 9 inch tablet right? There are many 7 inch tablets because people don't like them that big I still enjoy my tablet but sales are way down and part of that is because of phablets
Yes, I said pixel at first but changed my mind after a little more research. May change it more as I do more research/ or be convinced by you guys.
Google reduces the amount of mandatory bloatware apps on Android smartphones http://www.phonearena.com/news/Goog...bloatware-apps-on-Android-smartphones_id72888
Google really doesn't put much bloatware. If you have a Nexus device, it's pretty minimal in terms of what you get. It's basically all Google Apps. The manufacturer and carrier though are another story entirely for other non-Nexus devices. Oh the Chromebook. I thought you meant the XPS. Seems like a nice Chromebook.
The Surface family is simply amazing, no bloatware, fast, and well built. The SP4 and the Surface mini are reported to be announced soon. I love my sp3.
I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 (the 4GB 1080p IPS version), and I really love this thing. I only bought it because I needed a cheap laptop to use while I went out of town, but since then, Chrome OS has won me over. It boots up in 3 seconds, resumes from sleep instantly, will last for a week on standby, and I get a solid 8-10 hours of actual usage out of every charge. It's super lightweight, has an AWESOME screen, makes absolutely no noise, and has had great performance so far. I've had other laptops in the past, but I always end up getting rid of them because I don't use them enough to justify the purchase. This thing, OTOH, is so quick and easy to use that I'm using it all the time. But of course, if money is no issue, there are better options out there. The Surface Pro 3 with an i7 would be at the top of my list, and a MacBook is always a solid option. Edit - here's a good place to learn & ask questions about Chromebooks if you're interested: http://www.reddit.com/r/ChromeOS
