You're right, same aminos. My mistake. I didnt mean concentrate vs isolate vs hydro I meant Isolate from a cheap brand and isolate from the expensive brand would likely be the same product, if each brand is getting it from the same place. Most people assume it's better quality isolate.
If you don't care about taste, and want to drink something that basically tastes like skim milk, pure 100% whey isolate is ideal along with a lot of carbs. So a shake with 100% whey isolate + a multigrain sandwich (or some other source of complex carbs) is an ideal meal after a workout. If you're vegan, try hemp protein. If taste matters, try to get something with the highest proportion of whey. So look at the servings - something with 28 g per serving should contain at least 15-20 g of protein, ideally more. Before sleep, a lot of people suggest casein instead of whey. I'm still figuring dieting out myself, but these are a few bits of advice that's been really helpful to me.
I have used this in the past: http://www.dpsnutrition.net/i/2007/dymatize-elite-whey-all-natural-vanilla-5-lb.htm I would not use things like muscle milk consistently. A lot of protein powders / shakes test for being high in heavy metals which are harmful if you take it frequently over long periods of time. Consumer Reports did a study a few years back.
Listen carefully brahs: 1)Follow the yellow road lines closely, move your head up and down faster as it increases. 2)When the beat drops you will know, have both fist spinning in front of you. Feel free to add more moves. 3)The pre-workout of the gods <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/BX1N3G4R5cc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Trutein Cinnabun Great protein powder (Combines - Whey, Casein, and Egg Protein). Mixes well, and is very tasty. I mix with a cup of unsweetened almond milk and a cup of water. Only downfall is it comes in a 4 LB tub instead of a 5 LB.
If you go to the nutrition depo off louetta, this bad boy is on sale for 30 bucks for a 5POUNDER tub. Mix of both whey and casein, to top it off 60 ****ing servings. http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/dym/elitegourmet.html?MCID=CM-PLA-US&CA_6C15C=120147270000074591

Milk. Can't go wrong with milk as a post workout. Chocolate Milk. Taste good, and gives you what you need.
After years of buying those big name brand proteins, I went a while without using anything. Didn't make a diff. But for the convenience factor I started looking into more pure forms of protein without the the 500 junk ingredients. I been ordering 5lb custom mixes from truenutrition.com with stevia as the sweetener. http://truenutrition.com/p-947-whey-protein-isolate-cold-filtration-1lb-milk.aspx
Honestly try different ones. I've done ON, MusclePharm, Designer Whey and Muscle Milk. Like MP the best but swear my best gains came from some cheap Wal Mart protein I'd buy on occasion. Don't know why. Try different ones for different months. Different folks react differently to various supplements.
A well balanced meal any day over the week over a protein shake.. You also need carbs though.. This company Garden of life has great protein. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/garden-of-life-raw-fit-protein-451-g-powder/gu-1171
