I have a lady friend that likes to go country dancing. We went to Whiskey River a couple of weeks ago. The music sucked and no one was really dancing. Stopped going to Mo's a few years ago because of the smoke. There was a great place in Cypress called Masones Saloon, but I think the 290 construction caused it to close up. Anyone know a good place? Preferably the NW side of town.
I also had a "lady friend" who liked to country dance in nw Houston, used to go to Whiskey River a lot. A nurse for that matter. Same chick?
I've yet to find a Country Place where Dancing was an issue, and I was a Country singer back in the 90's.
Looking for place that is non smoking and plays good music. Whiskey River would play one good song, a waltz, 5 polkas in a row, line dance, pop and hip hop songs. Then they would start over with one good song, a waltz, 5 polkas in a row, line dance, pop and hip hop songs. There was no good slow dancing music. Most all songs were too upbeat or should I say a polka. No variety. The whole night fallowed the same format.
