I'm looking for the single best restaurant/bar to watch tonight's game in Houston. We'd prefer a good atmosphere in a cool part of town, i.e. not a suburban Twin Peaks. Of course, TV's with CSN are a necessity.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated!!

The best place I can think of to watch a Rockets game in Houston is the Toyota Center.

Plenty of TV's with CSN, plenty of beer. Not suburban at all.

Lots of fun.

It's actually at my house, but you have to not mind getting flecks of spit all over you when I start flipping out and foaming at the mouth at substitutions I don't like and various defensive lapses. Aside from that it's pretty chill.

Cedar Creek should be fine for all kinds of people. Christian's Tailgate on White Oak is like a non-generic version of your Buffalo Wild Wings', with better burgers. Jackson Hole has a billion TV's and you can sit outside in the back so as to avoid excess toolage that seems to accompany most sports bars like your Lucky's in East Downtown...

Personally I tend to prefer just sitting outside at the W. Alabama Ice House having a beer and some Tierra Caliente tacos while the Rockets game is on the big screen.

HayMerchant on Westheimer. Half off Houston beers when Houston teams are winning, fantastic beer selection, and great food. Texans games are also fun to watch there but go early.

I like Hay Merchant for away games though.

I watched the playoff games at Luckys Pub near the dynamo stadium. Good atmosphere.

Coaches sports bar off of 1960 in Humble is a great place. Game is projected onto a huge screen.

Believe it or not the Texans grille is good spot to watch a Rockets game. Went a few times last season. Great atmosphere.
