Here we go again, already calling someone greater than the other before hes even won anything. I believe to be considered great in this league u have to win championships. Its about the rings not the stats, so when blake wins one same for kevin than speak. But as of right now both guys will b hall of famers, with or without a ring is the real question. I guess we will habve to wait n see.

Rings are more of a team accomplishment..

You can be a great player but never win a ring because you never were on a team with good support.

And you can be a bad player and win rings..

Rings = Team, although being a superstar is what gives you best shot, still need good team mates.

Dirk is averaging less than 18 ppg this year and looks like he's still hung over from the finals. I seriously think he accomplished his life's goal and doesn't have that fire anymore.

Dirk's knee is bothering him this year. A bad knee severely limits players, which you should know from watching T-Mac's fall in his last few years in Houston. His numbers this year do not reflect how good he is.

In terms of defense, he is much than he is given credit for. Light years ahead of Love and Griffin.

This year should not be used as a basis for determining the quality of the players. These guys are going down left and right or if they are not playing, it's not up to their usual standards. You can't discount the RECENT PAST because its a good indicator of their play in the future. Dirk is not going anywhere, his game is not predicated on his athletic ability. Dirk is still the best PF in my opinion, and Love's inflated stats in Minnesota is not a reason compelling enough to push him down a notch.

Blake has officially become the most overrated player in the league. The guy is a dunk machine and a great rebounder but he plays no defense, has no real post up game, and can't shoot. You either have to play lock down defense or be a go to player at the end of the game to be considered the best at your position and Blake is neither. He might get there one day but right now he is just a really really good player that is exciting to watch with a lot of upside. Lamarcus Aldridge at this point in his career is a much better basketball player than Blake.

Also I'm not sure who mentioned Barkley as an example of a guy that played no defense but Barkley was an elite post up player and a very good shooter. When you do those two you can be worse on the defensive end.

he can't shoot like dirk. his rebounding is nowhere close to malone and barkley. his scoring is probably on KG's level. not to mention his lack of shotblocking ability. he has the potential to be the next Amare. the greatest? do you seriously think he can be the next TD?

    Its gotta be Love!

If he decides to not sign an extension with Minny then I will pray 23 hours a day that we get him!

He doesn't seem like a "Big Market" guy anyway...

I know to me it's the biGGEST markets.....
    But really Miami and Dallas?

    Cuban spends tons of money......
Owners, presidents and connections have little to do with that? Maybe
Lebron and Wade signed for less money..... That's not about the market.... Miami is a comfortable city with beach and all
