    Kris Kristofferson has probably had the best career in movies for a singer.

    I also enjoy Henry Rollins when he shows up in movies

    Flea did a great stint in The Getaway

    Does tv shows count?

    Dave Matthews did a pretty nice job on House.

    but more seriously, no one but maybe dean martin an frank sinatra come close to what Will Smith AKA the Fresh Prince has done.....
