Agreed! Dancer was an incredible movie experience, depressing as hell, but incredible.

    Right actors, wrong movies.

David Bowie was awesome in "The Man Who Fell to Earth"

    Dwight Yokum in "Sling Blade"

Meatloaf in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

Let me add, Bob Dylan in "Pat Garret and Billy the Kid"

Kris Kristofferson has probably had the best career in movies for a singer.

I also enjoy Henry Rollins when he shows up in movies

Flea did a great stint in The Getaway

    Does tv shows count?

Dave Matthews did a pretty nice job on House.

    My favorite ever?

    Bowie in Labryinth

Not that I like him or this movie, but I hadn't seen Timberlake in 8 mile, so I thought I'd throw that out there.

    Nobody mentioned The King?

Elvis was the best. he didn't have to act all that good, he just sings his parts.

no love for Jared Leto (30 Seconds to Mars) in Requiem for a Dream?

or does it not count that he wasn't really a musician until after the movie?
