Let's hear it: what are your favorite movie heists? Some of mine...

Topkapi (1964) - Strange, but wonderful. Great cast, as well.
    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8thNodJpLc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/k8thNodJpLc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

How to Steal a Million (1956) - Peter O'Toole at his charming best.
    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UPStHOzjQWU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UPStHOzjQWU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    Ocean's 11 (2001) - Much better than I expected, with a stellar cast and a neat-o heist to boot.
    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/u7VTkceSsEw&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/u7VTkceSsEw&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Notice I said "best movie heists", not "best heist movies". A good heist in an otherwise awful movie is eligible.

    This!!!

This is the best movie nobody's ever heard of. I seriously could watch it like 30 times in a row and not get tired. Very 1960's cool. And you're right - the cast and the characters they are matched with is a very interesting mix.

The Great Train Robbery was pretty cool.

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/h_QathS_8Ok&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/h_QathS_8Ok&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

One that is really cool in a 1960's "Holy crap I just took too much LSD" sense (i.e. it oozes cool, but once you've watched it, you don't know what happened or whether you enjoyed it) is Danger:Diabolik

Probably an unpopular pick, but The Thomas Crown Affair remake with Renee Russo and Pierce Brosnan. I did not enjoy the original with McQueen though.

I give the gift of music to the thread. (The remake was the first time I heard Nina Simone.)

Agree with "Heat". Although I never really thought of it as a heist movie.

I really liked " The Score ". Can't go wrong with Brando, Deniro and Norton. Norton plays a pretty good r****d as well. "C-cc-can you help me?"

The remake was good (Russo was getting a bit long in the tooth, but that's neither here nor there), but the original is a CLASSIC.

Fan-made trailer, but it makes me want to see it all over again.
