Crush City is really starting to grow on me. Nobody outside of Houston knows Houston is the Bayou City.
Crush City and it's not close. Everyone knows Clutch City and Crush damn near rhymes.. lol Splash is Splash because of Bash Players kept choosing Blastros during the pregame show for whatever reason.
Most of the players probably don't know about Clutch City, even if they did it doesn't have much meaning to them. If Houston didn't have the name Clutch City then I'd imagine a lot more of us would go with Blastros.
I still think this is stupid. Bash makes sense, just because "splash" ryhmes that doesn't mean it makes sense
I don't like any of the proposed nicknames "Blastros" is too close to "Lastros." "Crush City" is already taken. "Bayou City Bombers" sounds like an independent league team. I don't think we need a nickname for the team as a whole. Not many teams have one and those that do rarely use it.
You know Basketball jargon... splash = swish It's goes perfectly Bad Boys Phi Slama Jama Run TMC Showtime Clutch City Cardiac Kids We Are Family Best Show on Turf Fab 5 Steel Curtain Luv Ya Blue Names ring bells... the only time a squad doesn't get nicknamed is when a good name can't be conjured.
