What a wimp. But at least he openly admitted it.

it was different for dwight. he was in cali where there are significantly higher taxes and a state tax.

In florida and texas there is no state tax and they are roughly on par with each other overall cost wise. Add in what the poster above said regarding his age and the $30m in the final year and this is nothing like the dwight situation. This was a no brainer for Bosh. No brainer.

Was a factor. You can't say 30 million isn't the leading factor and blah blah he didn't want to play with Harden or Dwight blah blah bull####. It was the 30 million.

I think there is a lot of truth to this statement. He knows that even with the best player on the planet and a future first round HOFer shooting guard next to him, his team went 2-2 (nearly 1-3) in the Finals. Let's be honest, Harden and Howard are not on the same planet as Lebron and Wade when it comes to how their competitiveness is perceived around the league.

I still think being comfortable, out of the spotlight and $30 million richer were the main drivers but I have a feeling he would have come to Houston had it been Chris Paul and Kevin Durant on the team instead of Harden and Howard.

Glad it didn't work out. Last thing we need is someone afraid of the spotlight of expectations. I never wanted him anyway. Looks, um, I don't really know how to describe it, but just not um, can I say soft in a compassionate way? Excellent player, but not one to step into the pressure ? We are trying to change that culture here.

Lol, dude didn't want the pressure of being third best on the team because it would mean they were good enough to need to win. That and he knows his way around town so why mess with such a good thing. Oh yeah, and there was a bit of money involved.

    smh.

Y'all are crazy, Howard/Bosh/Parsons/Harden/Bev would have been elite. Wish he would have signed with us.

So basically, Bosh did not want to be a contender to win a championship. Is too much pressure for him.
