Naw this is what happens when you put on 30lbs... Who even allowed him to do so Fire the medical staff
It's ironic how karma seems to come back and bite. I am as sorry for Ben as anyone else, it sucks hard. I was really looking forward to watching him play and feel for sixers fans. But after hearing some stories about him it's interesting how what goes around comes around. Head up mate!
How srs is this? Are there examples of past players who suffered the same and went on to have an all star careers?
I guess it's better that it happens at such a young age, where he is healing faster than he will ever heal again. Also, they have probably learned a lot from rehabbing two other young guys in Noel and Embiid and avoid any mistakes they made previously. This also gives the current trio of Embiid/Noel/Okafor a tiny bit more wiggle room with minutes.
Nothing major. A good friend of mine went to school with him, says he was a bit of a handful and wasn't the easiest person to be around. If I was as good as simmons then I'd probably hold everyone in contempt too. I'm sure he's matured since then.
Disturbing if true, I do remember initially he refused to work out for the Sixers. May be some legs to this
If Hinkie was still GM, my guess would be he told the agent to say that. Seriously though, that's from the Philly Daily News. Like quoting a writer from the NY Post. As J.R.'s link shows, the writer quickly qualified it on twitter with this: If/when the team clears him to play, and the coaches want him in practice, then it becomes a player issue that agents can't protect him from. If he refuses to practice, then good luck to him with Philly fans -- will be worse than Rose refusing to come back.
If I was a 76ers fan, I'd be tearing my hair out. Joel, you have sore knees after a few months of playing half the games and 25 min a night? Alright, take the month off. Ben, a bit weary about the foot? No problemo, see you next year.
