Sympathy for the Lager - 4/10. Too much going on, no smoothness, bad finish.

Red Fox Amber Ale - 8.5/10. Love this beer, smooth, slight nuttiness to it. Always drink it at Fox n Hound.

St. Arnold Lawnmower - 7.5/10. Not too bad, nothing special.

Deschutes fresh squeezed IPA: 7/10. I would give most IPA's less than a 5,but this is by far the best IPA I have ever drank.

Off to one of the other new brew pubs here in Bend..

Lately, I been loving the Mexican Logger by Ska Brewery. Nice summer beer / American Lager. Especially when very, very cold, on a hot, hot day.

Boneyard habanero infused red ale: 7/10 - would probably be a 9 if I had it in a michelada. Their regular red ale was at least an 8 coming from someone that doesn't particularly like red ales..

Currently enjoying a Good life sweet ale: 8/10 hearty yet easy drinking ale. Great after taste

I had a milk stout from Left Hand brewing company. Dang. Very great. Dark, fairly bitter, smooth, thick and rich.

The bottom of that glass came too fast and I had to get another even faster.

    Yes

Have brewed my own for many years. Has been a few years since I have though but plan on starting again after this year when I will be home every day again. Actually it is easy and cheaper and tastier than store bought usually.

Other than that I drink Shiner Bock as my regular beer always and at times will change to others fora change. I prefer dark strong stout beers.

Has anyone tried the König Pilsener?

I'm new to the beer scene and I thought this was a really really good beer. It's had that IPA flavour to it but its not that bitter. The KP just felt right IMO. Dunno lol.

    Hangar 24 - Essence Double IPA 7.5/10.
    Societe Publican Pale Ale 8.5/10.
Firestone Walker Pivo Pils 8.5/10. Excellent summer beer, and widely available. Hoppier than your average Pils. They dry hop it.

Where'd you get the Societe? When I visited the brewery earlier in the summer the brewer said they had no plans to distribute outside San Diego. Curious if plans had changed?

I live in San Diego. They have lots of room to expand, but their beer is so good, I'm sure it will be a long time before they'll need or want to sell it outside of San Diego. 2nd best brewery in the area. Hopefully they'll can their beer some day.
