+ Think match-ups then build a team that beats the new champion. + Once a player is on a team thay can not be on another team. - Dream, OT, Horry, Drexler, & Kenny can't be played any more (don't make a team of HOF players so we can keep the game going) + Another member has to Okay the new champions. (have fun tinman) The champions Dream, OT, Horry, Drexler, & Kenny (yes, I know this was NEVER a team) the Sonics gave us fits so: Camby > Perkins Barkley > Kemp Artest = Schremph Rick Berry >>> Hawkins (up grade to take on Drexler) Mad Max < Payton
Interesting idea. I like it. I assume you mean with everyone in their prime right? Or is it how they played with the Rockets? If the former, Moses Malone - Second greatest Rocket of all time. Gotta include him. It would be an epic showdown that would make everyone's head explode between Hakeem and him. Robert Horry - I think it's important to surround Moses with a versatile PF who can shoot and defend. A young prime Horry fits all of that. Shane Battier - This is purely for fit and match-ups. The championship Rockets were the best in and out team ever and it's important that we surround Barkley-Malone with 3 and D wing players who close out quickly. Battier is one of the most cerebral defenders of all-time and in his prime, although he didn't have the quickest foot speed, he was always positioned correctly to close out on shooters. He would also match up against Drexler and make his life at least harder. James Harden - I know I'm going against my 3 and D rule, but since we're talking primes I truly believe Harden will develop to be a decent defender. He has good foot speed and lateral quickness, he just plays lazy or not smart on the defensive end. You need someone who can initiate the offense from the wing. Cuttino Mobley - I know he's not really a point-guard but Harden can be the ball handler and Mobley just D up and spot up for 3's. Mobley is one of the better 3 and D players in Rockets history.
If i understand the op i have to make a team who wil beat KevC team, right? Yao Ming Ralph Sampson Chandler Parsons Mario Elie Aaron Brooks Offensive: They play inside out with good 3 point shooters. the size inside wiill be to much for KevC team. Horry cannot defend Sampson. Defense Harden will have difficulty getting to the rim with Yao and Sampson waiting for him (see the games against the pacers). And Elly and Parsons can both guard him from time to time. Ofcourse there is no stopping Moses, but the size might give him some problems.
C: Elvin Hayes-Yao had trouble against undersized big men PF: Luis Scola-Solid 4 with a jumper SF: Rudy Tomjanovich-Great bank shot SG: Tracy Mcgrady-The playmaker/scorer PG: Calvin Murphy-Super quick/crafty player
PG: Skip 2 my Bayless SG: Ricky Martin SF: Charlie Murphy - brother of PF: Eddie Griffin - the comedian C: Cato (R.I.P.)
The real question is how would the Barkely who played for the rockets fair against a prime chuck-wagon. Now that's a matchup i want to see! (I'm not taking about prime barkley)
