But his plus minus is often negative, even when he has amazing shooting nights. In your opinion, is that more a result of the unit he's in with (Brewer, Terry), or does he really let his man beat him that much. If he's a negative defensively, we have to consider his value when his shooting is off, since he isn't much of a playmaker. Ideally, if we get Durant this summer, is he our sixth man off the bench? Or is he more of a scorer that needs to be paired with an initiator?
Unit for sure. The Rockets play a gambling game. Always playing the passing lanes, reaching around and thinking Dwight or Capela are going to bail them out for letting their defender get by. Plus 1-% of the time Beasley is logging minutes at the C. HE GON' LERN
Beasley continues to impress. After watching Ty Lawson struggle to score double digits once every fifteen games, watching Beasley do it every night is amazing.
He's showing he's a legit 2nd or 3rd option - or at least scoring off the bench for the second unit... Defense will be addressed with the new coach.... #JBSUCKS! lol
Beasley does more than just throw up shot attempts. Its not like he's averaging double digits on 30% shooting and 25+ shots. He's doing it relatively efficiently. There's not much wrong with being a volume shooter in this league!
I had Beasley in my 2K team years ago and breh could do it all, shoot, dunk, block, steal. Had almost 0 assists tho, cus errbody passed to him. I thought he would be a superstar in the league after playing him, very unfortunate with his character issues.
It's the bench. +/- is a horrible indicator. He's not a great defender but at least he tries unlike some people on the team.
The guy can shoot > 50% while getting his own shot. He's proven that at this point. I really like him at the 5 also, defense and rebounding doesn't seem to suffer and the offense can put up points fast.
Hope Beasley turns out better than Mo Taylor. That dude was as offensively talented as anybody, but he didn't really help us win any
Isn't much of a playmaker? I see him as the second best playmaker on our team right now. I LOVE how he spins in the lane and uses his quickness and long arms for finger roll or layup. Who else on the team can blow by their man to make a play at the rim which results in basket or FT's that is NOT named Harden?
