ya man...casino too, and 2 out of the 3 Godfathers. The post was just misinterpreted. I don't care what harden does in his personal life. I just think the el chapo name fits with his negative media image, and I assume he is smart enough to know that. but people get so offended when anything is said about james harden other than "he's the best, he's mvp"
This is the most logical assumption... imo... but fans on here aren't gonna wanna hear this... they'd much rather proclaim Harden an innocent victim by that unfair media.... I've heard bits n pieces about Harden hanging with gangsta types outta LA... there was the whole Lil Mo thing... yet people are still gonna complain that BSPN is gonna hold up golden boy Curry while not giving James his props...
El Chapo and his Consigliere Mike D'Antoni. We all know who runs the Rockets and who his main adviser is.
but 'el champo' is not spanish. unless you mean white people spanish where they just add an "O" to any word to mimic the spanish language lol
It's because he can't be contained. You can try and lock him up but he will eventually figure out a way to unleash the beard.
Lol @ a nickname depicting the type of person you are.... "Why would curry get behind being called the baby faced assassin? " - "He must glorify killing people for money. Shameful and very telling of his personality and imo, probably why so many people hate him because they can tell deep down he is a violent human being."
it's different in my opinion. I am not saying that deep down Harden is some kind of mass murdering gangster. think of it this way: The NBA main stream narrative is always a classic hero vs. villain story. A few years ago it was the heroic, resilient spurs vs. the villain defector lebron and his "heatles" (lebron acknowledged it). Now it's the hero, massive heart Westbrook vs the villain El Chapo. It's obvious, and Harden knows this. It all fits the bill so perfectly.
Except literally not a single media member calls him el chapo. Not a single teammate in record calling him this. He hasn't mentioned it himself. This is likely just a inside the locker room type of thing. Your grasping at straws imo
I hear you man. No media is calling him el chapo. It's not a big deal, but they definitely make him the villain....there have only been about 1,000000 posts about this haha. So wouldn't embracing a nickname like el chapo in the locker room indicate that Harden gets it? I don't see how that is such a stretch? We all know he's not mr. likable, and I think he knows it too. His whole marketing campaign is about being different, not being one of "those guys"
