This guy is high on the Rockets. I don't think he has featured as many players from other teams has he has from the Rockets. Go Rox!

Defense is something you don't talk about...it just comes naturally, it's the fire that burns inside the belly.

Parsons & Lin in that order are the worst offenders on the last one.

I think Coach Nick is based out of California and interviewed a bunch of the Rockets while they were on their road trip. He's just releasing the videos one by one rather than all at once.

I'm glad PBev is getting good recognition for his defense.

Coach Nick is really trying to make that hop shot happen. only player on the team that hops exclusively into a shot is Lin.

His defense has just been fouling lately.

I mean every single time down the court the refs could call a foul on him. Non-stop hand-checking, unnecessary reaches for the balls(some with horrible judgement, yes I know this is where he makes his living with his steals).

Last year he was much more disciplined and much smarter in his defensive position. This year, he's reckless, for the worse of the team.

I think if we cut his minutes, he shouldn't be playing 39mpg ever like last night, but no way near 30mpg, but more like 20-25mpg depending upon matchup. He'd be able to play smarter and harder. He's getting gassed and making bonehead reaches.

    Stick to this:

    Howard-34/Asik-14
    Jones-26/D-Mo-22
    Parsons-33/Casspi-15
    Harden-25/Hamilton-23
    Beverely-25/Canaan-15/Harden-13

Yes, I said it. Harden at point, or let Parsons play point forward for periods of time.

This is due to Lin's inability to play and Beverly's recklessness defensively and inability to compensate for his lack of offensive ability in a longer period of time.

for what its worth, coach nick the person who is in the video rates, pat bev as a top 3 defensive guard in the league, he is pretty insightful and watches heaps of games.

he also isn't a rockets fanboy as he repeadiatley criticises almost everyone on our team outside of bev and chandler.

    About which part?

He said in the YouTube comments on that video that he is a top 3 guard and then a while ago after the rockets were on national tv this season he also again said it on twitter.

On the bashing rockets players I have had multiple twitter conversations with him about Dwight's perceived post up and making the case for him being productive, that harden is also now a much better defender and a few more players.

Pretty impressive for someone to foul every time down the court and average 32 minutes per game. Dude must get like 50 personal fouls a game. Refs should really look into that.

I'm all for the hop shot if the player executes it in rhythm. Hop while you're catching the ball or hop after picking up your dribble. I hate it when Lin catches the ball, scans the floor, decides to shoot, and THEN does the hop shot. I understand that he does it keep the mechanics of his jumper consistent, but really it just holds him back from being able to pump fake.
