So it becomes Baylor's fault that UT is down? This is where it gets silly. I think any school in a conference, while making their schedule, assumes that OU and UT are going to be big games. Baylor and TCU have finished in the top 15 in the country repeatedly of late....OU looks like a potential national champ right now. UT needs to get its ish together before anyone looks down their noses at either Baylor or TCU. Big XII has 4 teams in the top 15 right now. So does the Big 10. The ACC has 3...the SEC and Pac12 have 1 each. The notion that the Big XII is some inferior product is crazy to me. Beyond the conference argument...everytime I get down after a Baylor loss, I think about the big picture of where Baylor is compared to where they were, and I'm fine. If you had told me years ago that 10 wins seasons would be routine, I would never have believed it. Potential Sugar Bowl appearance? Really? Man, I'll take it.
Is Florida locked in to the Sugar Bowl? Do they (Sugar Bowl reps) have an option to select Ole Miss instead?
No, not sure how you came away with that. That was really just about the conference in general. Having a *cough* strong UT program really helps take away any arguments about the lack of a championship game. TCU and Baylor aren't going anywhere anytime soon, OU is OU, add UT to that and any team can say "hey, we play 3 of the top 15 programs in the country every year." Add just 1 solid non-conference opponent every year and nobody could ever criticize your schedule. It would also help greatly if the middle of the pack teams like WV, TT, KState and OSU would be at least solid on a pretty regular basis. The jobs that Patterson and Briles have done at their schools is amazing, and great for football in the state/conference.
I guess I meant that when you have a schedule that every year includes schools like UT, OU, TCU, and OK State, you assume you're going to run into tough games. So I GET conceptually the notion of not building in a tough non-conference game...I'd prefer they scheduled one, anyway. I'm just not as down on the Big XII as some are. We've seen 4 weeks in a row of highly ranked teams facing off. Only the SEC or Big 10 can really say the same...and honestly, notwithstanding all the hoopla, by the end of the season, it's POSSIBLE that Alabama will not have beaten even one of the teams in the final top 20.
SEC #2. Florida sucks tho so I would prefer someone better. But the SEC is so awesome. Ole Miss came in much higher at #13 but they lost to Florida so I'm assuming they would have the tie-breaker.
I certainly am more than I should be. Recenly UT has pissed me off to no end, I miss they days when they were a year-in-year-out power. I want Baylor and TCU and OU to kick the **** out of whoever they play out of conference. I want fun football games. I want UT to be good, I want Baylor to play somebody good, I want Bobby Stoops to destroy Alabama again in a bowl game, I LOVE Patterson and what he's done at TCU, hell, I even root for OU when they play the slack-jawed yokels from the southeastern u s of a.
I'm with ya...a lot of that is reactionary to the obnoxious SEC crap. I never in a million years thought I'd root for OU to win anything.

I think you are right. Could get very ugly, very fast. UNC is the kind of team that nukes undermanned teams quickly. They definitely have the killer instinct. Gotta make Marquise Williams uncomfortable.
When UNC marched down and scored to go up 7-0 after stopping Baylor, I was sitting pretty confident. Then when it was 7-7, my gut sank as I knew I picked the wrong side. You can just tell that line domination was going to go on all game long. It's the same feeling I had early in the OSU Oregon game last year. I'm very surprised here.
Baylor has moved into the top 10 in 2016 after picking up 4 star DE Brandon Bowen. The defense is going to become pretty good. 2017 is even better and imagine this offense with a top flight tight end (#2 tight end in the nation coming in). http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/col...lls-2017-recruiting-class-kellen-mond-leading
What have you guys heard about all the allegations about rape coverups? I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just curious because they've been talking about it on the radio.
Criticizing Art Briles for ignoring or not being aware that his athletes had a history of rape. I believe it was two different ones. The 1st was accused of rape 6 times and is in jail now. http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_...-adequately-providing-support-alleged-victims Spoiler
