Considering they haven't played the 3 best teams on their schedule, then sure.

I can't figure out their front 7. Oakman should be so much more dominant than he shows, and teams shouldn't be able to run outside on him and Smith (56? the other DE). Billings doesn't seem to make plays in the middle like he should either.

Yes I guess it's all relative. You play who you are scheduled with, the other 3 teams in big 12 will just play each other.

I'm not sure of the players names as you are, but when I watch their run defense, they seem to give up BIG chunks of yards.

All 3 of those guys are 1st round picks on the DLine, especially Oakman (about the most physical freakiest guy you've seen) and Billings. Granted, I don't know much about their LBers, but their run defense should be at least tolerable if not good.

Oakman may be the most overrated player I've seen in years. He's a physical freak, and he's being talked about as a top 5 NFL pick, but he makes minimal plays, minimal meaning one or two a game.

I'm not sure what Baylor fans are saying about Briles right now, but it can't be good. His end of the 3rd quarter play calling (run middle, run middle, pass short) was atrocious.

Stidham is going to be a hell of a qb, I hope he didn't hurt his shoulder tonight.

Not to spike the football, but I was right about the freshman QB. You just can't plug and play with a freshman QB and expect to beat top teams, even under Briles' scheme. I think he'll develop and be very good over time, though.

I was actually cheering for Baylor yesterday, by the way.

I give Briles the L. We've become conservative with Stidham. Oh well.. Still have some big games to get prepared for.

I don't know who calls the plays (Kendal Briles or Art Briles) but yeah they should have kept pushing the ball downfield. I think they were trying to protect the freshman (big game, rain, good pass defense).

Really could have used Russell's legs last night too.

    Totally agreed on all points!!!

Briles' play-calling in the 3rd was just terrible. I get that they're afraid of opening it up big time with a freshman QB...but it was clear, that was your only real chance of winning that game at that point.

Tough loss. Seemed like every general football fan was rooting for Baylor. Big 12 looks to be eating itself. Again.

Yeah heard it's a broken ankle. This BU/TCU matchup has become a battle of the backups. Real shame imo.

I haven't seen any real news on it. Chip Brown mentioned this.
