Please go easy on us. I just want to see if Chad Morris is taking us in the right direction. That is all. Sincerely, a nervous but optimistic SMU Alumni
This might be the best Baylor offense yet. Seth Russell is probably the most gifted qb the Bears have had since RGIII and the weapons at the skill positions are as strong as ever.
Corey Coleman is hard to stop. We have three backs that could start on most teams. Baylor will be hard to beat.
Baylor is playing with a chip on its shoulder. Briles wants to be "devastatingly dominant" and that's what they're doing. Of course, we haven't played a real defense but I am not too sure that any defense can stop Baylor.
Baylor looks darn good, but I really have no clue due to the competition (not that Tech is terrible). I just wish they played someone. They've been a good (non-trap) team for too long to keep using the "nobody will schedule us" excuse.
Our secondary is suspect but maybe Bennett is asking them to go for the big plays. But other than that, I'm very happy with both our run and gun portions of the offense.
We held a top 5 offense to 28 points until they got a garbage time TD. The defense has to be barely average on most nights.
We're all hoping for that big SEC announcement. They keep saying it's in the works. Duke in 17, 18. Utah in 20, 21. We need something sooner.
Their future schedules are just as pathetic. Upcoming OOC games against Liberty, Incarnate Word, Abilene Christian, UTSA, with Duke, SMU, Rice mixed in. Please do better, Baylor.
I get that. I'm happy overall. But it those big long bomb scores I don't like. Watching TCU's Doctson blow up defenders and I can see him licking his chops.
Our players are licking their chops too. That should be a great game but we have some other tests along the way. OU looks better than we thought.
These games were scheduled a while ago. Also, Duke was ranked at times last season and beat Ga Tech this season while playing a close game against #13 Northwestern. Baylor plays OU, OSU, TCU, W Va. All of these teams came into last weekend in the rankings. At Kansas State is never an easy game. Beating a top 10 team at home (OU) and a top 5 team on the road (TCU) will be required to make the CFB playoff. That's enough to make the top 4 easily.
