    Question for you guys.

I've got a pair of Nike Huarache and they cannot grip a hardwood floor court for the life of them.

They are pretty new with less than 5 hours of running around.

The spit thing doesn't really work. Wiping with the hand doesn't work.

The only thing that helps is if I wash the soles with soap, not just a water wipe down.

I've got a pair of Nike Trainers and they grip fine. So, does anyone have any tips on how to get better traction from my supposed basketball shoes?

    Their soles are too hard.

A pair of racquetball or volleyball shoes with gum rubber outsoles will grip slick floors. Of course being softer, they also don't last as long, & you shouldn't wear them on concrete at all. You'll also be made fun of for wearing racquetball or volleyball shoes.

But it's that yellowish translucent rubber you see on a lot of asics. Just another option. It should really be on more bball shoes.

    This.

Although word of caution to anyone using these grips, I've seen people get their ankles absolutely destroyed because the grip was way too effective.
