Barkley said Raptors would sweep the Cavs.

    We the North.

Barkley = Jim Cramer. Opposite of what he said

Came here to post same comment.

He also said can Harden and CP3 play well when they have to guard Curry and Klay. Umm...we switch everything partly to prevent chasing yourself to death, and GSW doesn't iso except Durant, even if they want to force ISO's for Curry, and Klay isn't good at it....otherwise, Ariza and Moute will be on Curry/Klay as much as Harden/CP3 will.

Now, on the other side, he makes no mention of the Rockets ability to the same thing, and even moreso...that is, force Curry to play defense as much as they want him, too. They will ISO him, or make him fight through PnRs.

Curry is the one most likely to get tired from playing both sides, especially when their offense is designed to have him run around a lot already.

Kenny is just doing his best to "fit in" with the higher profile Shaq and Barkley. I honestly think a lot of his commentary is done with an angle to get Chuck and Shaq's approval...to be "one of the guys".

? We've seen switching defense on a regular diet. That's why we ISO'd so much in second half of season, because many teams started switching on our PnR. We rarely ISO'd as a primary play. We ISO'd by making teams switch on the PnR.

Switching causes ISO mismatches for Harden and Paul. Not to say it doesn't have some advantages vs PnR, but it also has disadvantages.

We also have ways to repick or use a 3-man PnR to get guys like Curry into a switch onto Harden that they don't want.

Barkley also repeated, yet again, that the Rockets owe him $3 million.

You have to think Les Alexander takes that claim personally....if he caught wind of those statements.

I wonder if Barkley knows Les sold the team.

Now that Les is completely free of the NBA, it would be great to hear him lay in to Barkley. I just wanted to point out that Les has 2 championships and Barkley has 0.

Very good points in this thread about the fact that the TNT guys never flip the script to explain difficulties GS will have what the Rockets do offensively. Curry is no great defender and I hope he gets ISOd onto James and CP3 all day if that’s how they want to play the PnR.

I’ve heard this narrative peddled by the national media. It’s stupid. No one sees the cracks in their defense until a team comes along good enough to exploit it.

Curry is their crack. He is their sieve. The Cavs and mainly Kyrie took it to him, over and over two years ago. Gonna happen again next week. We’re gonna fist of legend their asses until their eyebrow (Curry) starts to bleed. They’re just men!

Barkley is owed 3 million under the table.
it was even discussed when he was playing for the Rockets, ironically on TNT

Peter Vecey said "14 million dollars"
Barkley's last season he got 9 million

So Vecey is off, but did mention the under the table deal

    Code:

    Season Team Lg Salary
    1996-97 Houston Rockets NBA 4695000
    1997-98 Houston Rockets NBA 2250000
    1998-99 Houston Rockets NBA 1000000
    1999-00 Houston Rockets NBA 9000000
    Career (may be incomplete) 43608000

After inflation and risk premium adjusted, Les owe him around 20 mil.

So if CP3/Harden go against Looney, Curry, Zaza, JaVale, Livingston.. you're worried?

I'd be happy to watch Harden destroy Green over and over again and he's capable of that. The Warriors are good at team defense... not individual defense.

Shaq is a horrible analyst, I might trade him for Kellerman

He's so insecure. its so weird.

Chuck is right, Wade carried him to the title in Miami

$5 million is the correct number according to what Peter Vecey said and what basketball reference said he made that year.
I'm pretty sure this was done because of high pressure from Turner

He mentioned it again meaning that apology was just forced for PR purposes.

Let's say back in the day, someone recorded that deal and it leaked to the media, then Les looks really bad.
