The 2nd goal...Messi is so quick that he looks like the only player moving on the field. Everyone else just stands there watching him score the goal. Unbelivable.

Messi needs an allstar squad to be an elite player, he doesn't have the ability to carry a team on his back.

He is by far the best player on his all-star squad. What do you call the best player on a team which is composed of the best players in the world? And what do you call the best player on a team that many people think is the "Best Team Ever"?

All Messi needs is a World Cup to surpass Maradona.

You obviously never seen Barca playing when Messi has a bad day or is injured. They always struggled really bad on these occasions. He's a one in a generation difference maker.

He needs to learn to stay onside to get chances. ;)

    Barcelona Ronaldinho >>>> Messi

Better technique, speed, and deadly in set pieces.

That is just laughable. I wont even begin to tell you the ways in which that is just plain wrong.

Messi is 23, he has a good 7-10 (if not more) years of domination barring injury ahead of him. This guy is God in cleats.

stick to Boxing because comparing Ronaldinho's one great year to Messi's unreal last 2 years is a fools errand.

Ronaldinho is more skilled and better at set pieces for sure.

Wow I'm surprised by the lineup SAF decided to start with.

After watching Hernandez commit 4 offsides within the first 15-20 minutes, pretty much every time he attempted to touch the ball, and gotten completely shut down by Barca defenders in the first half, I would assume that SAF would make some changes and put Berbatov in and go all out with 3 strikers in the second half. Especially after seeing Hernandez continue being irrelevant.

Also Nani was in far too late. They needed his creativity and fire power. They were too impatient in the second half and should've let Barca have the ball and do the tiki taka all they like in their half. That was what Mourinho did.

Oh well, Barca really deserved it today, despite many believing (me included) that Real should've been in their place. Besides some people are saying that this is the weakest MU side to win the EPL title in a while.

Take away these best players in the world and leave Messi on the squad. Fill the team with the Argentinian national team players and what do we get? Messi the great? I think not. He shrunk like a little ball in the world cup, he couldn't deal with the physicality and double/triple teaming he faced. The best players of yesterday stood up and made stuff happen when they faced this same pressure, Messi unfortunately didn't even show up.

    Good point CB.

Let's face it, Messi is a system player, he's good but he still can't go right, and he plays on the best offensive team, Xavi and Iniesta run that team, without them, Barca is nowhere the same.

 How? He couldn't to **** out there because he's a FORWARD, not the entire team. Watch how Manchester's midfielders couldn't keep the ball more than five consecutive passes in the second half. How is he supposed to score if he's being heavily guarded and doesn't get enough passes? This isn't a one-man sport, man. It's a team. We cheer for our "Mexican heroes" and their teams.

Barca knew how to guard the non-existant 1 and 1 forward attack like no one's business. They have an all-around better team. It wasn't just Messi, it was the entire arsenal of defensive and midfielder weapons.

What does it matter if he's Mexican? That doesn't mean crap. He's a good player but only when his team can keep the ball.

Maybe you should rewatch the game where Argentina was eliminated. In a couple games against some crappy team like Nigeria, Greece, and Korea he setup his teammates, which was great. But players who are being considered as GOAT don't only excel against crap teams. Also if you consider the WC qualification matches, he was also invisible then. He's young, so he might prove me wrong, but the window available to players to show their stuff is limited. Players in football start their decline at 26-27, IMO.

Uhh, mourinho already beat them last year with inter, and right now he has the club in real Madrid who have a case that they should have been playing at wembley and beat them for the Spanish cup already this year.

Real and Barca are the two top teams in europe at the moment, the gap between Barca and real is not big at all.
