I use chromecast through my Samsung Note 3. I find that I get a steadier stream when I set the quality to SD. On my 42inch TV running SD still looks good. if you good to the ballstreams site you can side load the APK file on your phone so you can run the app.
Has anybody else had issues with streaming live or watching recorded games during peak hours (when most games are live)? I never experienced this with NBA league pass.
It works using Google Cast on my Chromebook but once I switch the server I get nothing but a black screen. Screen Cast on my Nexus devices work well with the BSDroid App but I must play the SD stream. HD stream keeps freezing. Neither options are perfect, but at least I can watch the stream on my TV.
No issues at all streaming live. I stick to West Coast or Central servers and it's clear as can be on HD with zero lag.
Are you referring to the ChromeCast black screen? If you are, try the Cast this tab or the Cast Entire screen option. When you go to cast, there is a little down arrow on the very upper right. It allows for those options. Pick one then pick your cast device (same box). No black screen although for me the screen quality is nowhere near the PC quality.
I never noticed that drop down box with those additional options. That fixes everything. I also figured out how to change the server on the bsdroid app and now I can stream it in HD with no lag. Thanks!!
No problem...I was frustrated as heck when I first tried to cast. What I really hated was no support for certain media files (home videos in particular). Not being able to cast Ballstreams just added to the frustration. The new cast entire screen option solved all of that!
Didn't work for me. I think I'm going to bed. I don't know the outcome of the game and I'll just watch tomorrow when I get up haha
Had a few issues last night as well when the stream went out completely. It came back up after a few minutes however. Ended up using a friend's watchESPN log-in. Amazing HD quality that way
If your invite doesn't come within the first day or two, just resubmit a second request. I waited a few weeks and some friends told me you have to keep sending in requests. On my second attempt, they responded and sent me an invite within an hour of my request! Once you get it, make sure to use the server that is closest to you! I was frustrated for a while not realizing I was trying to stream from the East Coast server when I'm in Houston... After that, it should be all good! I have Chromecast and AppleTV3. I use both and cast/mirror from all my devices (MacBook Air, iPhone 6, and iPad Air) without any problems! There will occasionally be lag but it goes away for me if I wait a few seconds!
Does anyone use an iPad to stream games via mobile hotspot?? If so, what network do you use and how many gigs do,you use for a game?
