Lots of games tonight so I'll check out a few and let you know. I'm hardwired through my Roku to my TV so hopefully that will cancel out some lag.
It did not suck for me last year all the time. Actually, just some of the time. And from what I recall it was more of an issue with a bad encoder than bandwidth or anything else. Last year if you refreshed your page until you got a different encoder, there was a chance that would be enough to fix the problem.
This isn't totally accurate. The site was up and running without a hitch probably 98% of the time. Granted there was a few times where the game was late to start or there was excessive buffering through out the season. But few things work the way they're supposed to 100% of the time. My only reason for not re upping for the whole season is that I'm confident that Root Sports Houston will be up in running sooner than not. So I'm going to play it by ear for a while with monthly subscriptions. I will admit that the picture quality was prestine during the preseason last year. It's still good now, but not as good as it once was.
I'm in a college dorm so I will only be able stream to my laptop. What is the quality like for laptop stream? Will it be good enough to connect HDMI to my TV?
Yes it will be Does anyone know what the best way is to stream using Chromecast? The cast option on the ballstreams website seems to have lags and is about 1 minute behind.
To answer my own question... seems the "Ball Cast" app on android is the best way. It does look a bit weird at times (isn't as smooth as watching it on the computer.
What server are you guys using? I'm getting major buffering. Tried Australia, sucked. USA no feed. Asia is decent but still buffering through my hard line roku to my tv.
If North America Central doesn't work, I switch to East. I'm not getting any major buffering right now. I'm using Chromecast with the Android "Ball Cast" App. It streams pretty nicely through this app and without lag, but the issue is that it's about 1 minute behind what the time would be if I stream through the computer. That's the only downside...
6 month sub or 1 year? What are some cool features? I have my mom's credit card in my hand. contemplating
Here are the two options. I'm using the "Ball Cast" App on my android to stream it. It is about 1 minute behind the normal stream but no lag. I'm getting perfect feed from the Canadian east coast stream. Not one drop and perfect HD on my 70" tv. I can't believe I waited so long to buy this. It's simply amazing.
