The money wouldn't match if you replace Battier with Bud. Plus they're looking to add some veteran experience to their bench. Specially at SF where they only have Batum(young upcoming player) and (rookie) Luke Babbitt, so Shane would be more than welcomed. On our side we get a legitimate back-up center in Przybilla as well as a legitimate back-up SG in Fernandez, to fill both of our biggest needs. --RB
and this is great!! we can work martin to run the point at times, now that lowry is gone so it looks like this martin fernandez ariza scola hill just an example.
I wouldn't be surprised if Przybilla doesn't play another game in the NBA. His double injury was pretty severe. I would not count on him playing any significant time this year. Fernandez will probably not be happy here either and he's extremely inconsistent and plays no D, so I'd just pass.
hey rubio and rudy should come join us in houston .. maybe we can trade for darko and have our own europian big 3
fernandez is instant offense. perfect backup for this team. i like the idea of getting fernandez AND aldridge in a big deal.
Portland gave Aldridge a 5yr $70mil contract extension in 2009. I doubt this is someone they plan on trading. Looks like they consider him one of the cornerstones of their franchise along with Roy.
For some reason, I've always believed he would be a Rocket one way or another. Rick gets the most out of players like Fernandez. I just hope we don't give up on those knicks picks. With the way he's playing in the summer league,I wouldn't mind them trading Bud if it meant us getting him.
You make minutes for players like Rudy. He would work perfectly with this offense. And would be just added extra depth to are team. The Blazers are more loaded with guards than we are, And I think he just lost his urge to play there. Which showed in his play.
Battier + Hill + OUR 2012 1st pick For Fernandez + Oden Yao Ming, Oden, Anderson Scola(?), Patterson, Hayes Ariza, Budinger, Harris Martin, Fernandez, Taylor Brooks, Lowry(?)
Umm... Hill doesn't put up slightly better stats than Scola like Aldridge does. It's irrelevant anyways, because Portland isn't trading Aldridge.
