Because he's trying to get a Ph.D from a Tier 1 institution with the top Creative Writing program in the country?

I can't help but think about all the students who aren't getting into the UH creative writing program because James Franco decided Yale wasn't right for him this week. :(

I heard a rumor about this last year, so I don't know if I believe it until he actually is enrolled. He could have just been accepted and deferred/ decided not to do it.

    Regardless, great exposure for UH.

The very few times I've seen him in any action onscreen or off, he comes across as slightly douchey. Though he's an accomplished douche

If you were smarter, better looking, richer, and more famous than 99% of the earth you'd act like a douche too

Yeah, I guess...if you are one of those only science and math are real majors douches.

I wrote a well-received full-length play I wouldn't trade it in for blah-blah-isotope...blah-blah-vector...though I acknowledge those who are into that stuff are important to society.

"important to society"? they ARE society. We can do without time wasting piece of chit novels and plays about lesbians and vampires, but without doctors who treat the sick, engineers designing roads, cars, plastic processing, etc... We'd be really screwed.
