Just wanted to add to this thread the most recent game against the Pelicans. Even when he is not producing 20+ points, he is dominating the game defensively. You want more Hakeem comparisons? The lateral mobility for a man his size combined with the quick hands. That spin move had Jones completely behind him in two dribbles.
Philly is doing the right thing controlling his minutes carefully. This guy is a superstar, going to bring the franchise back single handedly. I do not understand why he can't play with Noel. On offense, Embiid is the PF and Noel the C, on defense vice versa. I can see that working. You can get away with one player who can't shoot, most teams are doing it. Defensively, that's a dominant duo, could create the best defensive team in the league with that. Saric eats up all the backup minutes possibly becoming a super sub. They should deal Okafor and their 2018 pick for the best vet guard they can acquire to reach the salary floor. Jrue Holiday, Wesley Matthews, Lou Williams, PJ Tucker could be some decent additions to their rotation. Hinkie really hooked Philly up with a future. I hope they don't screw it up.
Haven't seen him enough but he's super highly regarded. What I remember reading is they are planning to test him out as a SF and sometimes even as a PG. Sounds to me like he's more of a big wing like Durant? Anyhow, he's not going to be relevant till next season imo. They will barely play him this season I think, which is smart of them.
http://www.phillymag.com/news/2016/12/14/joel-embiid-sixers-defense/ Fantastic article on how good Embiid is. I'm not going to paste the article here because it deserves clicks, except for this one quote:
Nice work by him no doubt, he's the real deal. Just saying consider the "defender" Terrence Jones, Omer Asik puts spin moves and crossovers on him in practice too If Ben Simmons is anything close to his potential, that's a solid 1-2 for the future. Besides Warriors, star wing + star big is formula for titles
Very, very fair point. I still love Embiid's defense though why I think he will be better than KAT or Davis.
Embiid declared that Philly was going to make the playoffs. He's been doing well, but here's what we're watching(if you care): A team that's 13-26 going 28-15 the rest of the year. I wish him the best, except against us.
They are 6-1 in the last 7 games, and doesn't quite look like a fluke, but a good call by Coach Brown to bench Okafor and Rodriguez, iirc. I have said it before here, and until I'm blue in my face, Embiid looks to be the Hakeem 2.0. That's championship material. It's no surprise to me of the 76ers improvement.
I don't watch any Sixers games but the highlights of Embiid are scary. The quickness and fluidity of motion for a guy this size has not been seen since Hakeem. He's averaging 20 ppg in 25 minutes a game. If he stays healthy, he will be the best center in the NBA and it's not close.
The most surprising thing is how well he is playing after coming back from such severe injuries. All the more power to him. He seems like a nice guy, and is really good for the NBA. I support him against any team, apart from our Houston Rockets.
Is this the infamous Lebanese p*rn Chick? This p*rn b**** has a nerve commentating on real hard earned millionaire men. They say every professional p*rn person has full blown genital herpes at the very least. She's nasty and indeed has heavy D mile....And I can honestly say I have never wanked off to any of her scenes. Disgusting.
Sixers do it again and knock off the Raptors. 26/9 on 27 minutes and 1 win closer to the playoffs! 14-26 means it's a long road to the dance.
