The only way this could get any more Wizardsy is if they sign Dwight Howard instead of boogie.

If no Lebron and no other superstar help.... and Dallas chooses to max Cap.... I trade Anderson and Nene and picks for DJ. He only has one year left.

Definitely. Getting rid of Gortat wasn't my beef. You could tell that was coming, but the piece they traded him for was confusing.

Perhaps Rivers will fit, I just don't see it yet.

I’m not saying Austin Rivers is great. Or wasn’t a jackass personality.

But he does strike me as a guy... if you gave him very clear instructions on his role and duties, could be the first guy off the bench and score 12-18 ppg for the next 6 years.

It’s all about his acceptance of that though. Embrace it and you get praise and love ala Eric Gordon or pre old age Jamal Crawford. He has yet to show a willingness to do that.

Makes sense for Clips though. Too many guards.

as far as austin rivers, yeah no idea either. washington is basically the portland of the east. In the end, they are just a playoff team that can be somewhat competitive but not a true contendor

Does this signal that the Wizards Backcourt might be breaking up?

nope. washington is stuck with their supermax they committed to and beal isn't going anywhere.

not sure why grabbing rivers signals a backcourt breakup. hes not a starting caliber guard on a playoff team

Wizards could be going after Nerlens or Cousins now. Idk how they’d get Cousins but that sign & trade someone mentioned does sound good.

Stephen “Loud Mouth” Smith just said Brooklyn Nets could offer Capela the max. Lakers also could be in play for Capela.

Austin Rivers is a solid bench player on a mediocre team. He's a poor man's Eric Gordon.

He's improved his shooting from distance and has done well in ISO. He's a bad defensive player though and isn't all that efficient overall.

    He's also a punk.

But you see, those blowhards are uninformed and just yell it random shiit that doesn’t make sense.

First, if Brooklyn renounces all their free agent rights, would only clear around 8m in space. They can’t get in the range to offer the amount capela would want.

Secondly, the Lakers are going after the 2 big fish right now. They aren’t gonna target capela until way after they strike out and go to other options. Even still, they will have Julius Randles cap hold and a player they would likely bring back instead of targeting capela.

ESPN is all about markets and views. LA & NY.

I wouldn't discount Cuban's desire to make good on his failed attempt to get DJ previously.

I just thought maybe the Steve Ballmer needs to change the name of the franchise to get the stink off of the team. No one wants to be the premiere free agent that ends up choosing to be in a Clippers uniform.

    What's more appealing:

    1. "Sources say LeBron James will sign with the LA Clippers"
    2. "Sources say LeBron James will sign with the LA JoeBlows"

at least the JoeBlows' franchise history is a clean slate.
