People say that but you never know. We definitely had problems with Seattle but remember that the 96 team was badly banged up (Drex has a severe ankle sprain and Cassell was still recovering from elbow surgery).

It wasn't until gave four that we started playing better against them.

Sometime it takes a while to figure a team out, you just can't say that we would have lost to them - especially when they lost to Denver. Maybe Seattle wasn't ready until 96

Actually, I think the 93-94 Nuggets could've really gave us fits in the WCF had they passed the Jazz. They won the season series 3-2, snapped our 22-1 streak and granted the last game of the season we rested guys, but still. Denver had a lot of bigs, athletic ones as opposed to the bangers of New York and Jazz. Reggie was crazy clutch and carried them, Stith was a strong good defender who got into Max's head a couple of times, Pack was all energy and Abdul-Rauf could get hot any time and had Kenny's number a couple of times. Then there's Mutombo who was no slouch. I really wish that would've been our WCF opponent, since the Jazz were pretty bad and didn't give us any competition.
