Honestly based on talent it’ll be tough, they already had a big 3 albeit not the best functioning big 3. Now they add another all star in Tobias, they add really good player in J Simmons, add Boban, and they keep Reddick after all of that?

    Pretty solid.

Let's beat the All Star starting 5 that is the Warriors first. Boogie seems to be getting back to his old self. If we can get past them, Philly is no problem. In my opinion Embiid and Simmons still need another year or two before they win a Championship. I don't even know if they can beat the Bucks this season.

    Make the WCF first.

Alot of people think the Rockets can't beat the Warriors and 76ers but mad Tilman didn't want to pay luxury tax for what most of you deem to be a "losing season." Doesn't make sense.

Serious, these fans somehow want our team to improve dramatically by acquiring better players. How the fk we gonna do that with no assets? Hell the wolves didn't even want our four 1st round picks for Butler

If everyone can stay healthy during the playoffs, the Rockets have the best chance in beating the Warriors in the west.

    Most importantly....

GSW, Denver, OKC, and Utah didn’t make any needle moving moves.

We got enough to worry about just getting through the West. Good seeing the Eastern arms race heating up.

My top-5 Ranking from best to worst
GS (Thompson reached his prime in January, better than Durant now)
Sixers (weak bench: Jonah Bolden, T.J. McConnell, Boban Marjanovic. Ennis, Simmons)
    Bucks (add Mirotic)
Raptors (Gasol deal does not improve Raptors)
Rockets ( very successful in buyout market)

Celtics and Nuggets are not top 5.

if we’re good enough to beat GS, then we’d be good enough to beat Philly

however, our chances of beating GS are much lower than last year, and I don’t see it happening

Harden would need to average 40...GS’s defense is too good, and they got the refs in their pocket...plus our defense is much worse than last year

Look at the defensive intensity that we displayed throughout much of that WCF, can u honestly see this team being able to lock in like that for more than a game or 2? I haven’t even mentioned how we don’t have HCA. The only reason I don’t give us a 0% chance is because Harden took a leap and is now on another tier from where he was last season.

A bunch of you keep saying that, but you don't realize that if Durant were to get injured, I don't think the Warriors would even get out of the first or second round. Remember Yao Ming/Tmac going out, only none of these teams have Grandpa Mutombo having a block party. Just because in this hypo we've passed them up, it doesn't mean anything when it comes to the east team matchup.

With the Rockets' luck, if they somehow met the Sixers in the finals I'm pretty sure Ennis would probably kill the Rockets off the bench.
