The place for call-ups, demotions, releases, waivers, and any other player status changes. Just thought id consolidate these topics into one thread.

Must be desperate to get Paredes off the field.

There are plenty more that deserve a shot. Just about how many roster spots become available after trades.
Most interested in Villar and Cosart. Krauss has always interested me, but he is more of a Sept guy IMO.
Villar has always struggled at first at each new level. I'm mostly interested in getting Villar some September time just to get his struggling months out of the way before next season.
Really he's just had terrible Aprils. Last year he already had AA experience (they had promoted him and Altuve to CC at the same time in 2011), but still got off to a bad start. Since he is already on the 40-man roster, Cedeno not belonging in the majors, and Marwin being a backup type, Villar seems like the biggest lock to get a callup eventually.

Really hope Wallace can take a step forward in the bigs this year. Has the highest OPS of his fairly extensive AAA career this year. Maybe that progress will translate.
Not expecting much from Wallace, he could possibly get one more chance to prove his worth before Singleton is called up though
Unlikely. Cutting LeBlanc from the 40 man likely means someone outside the 40 man will be added. I think Elmore has a good chance, but Peacock probably stays in OKC.
I wanted Villar... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Jake Elmore expected to join <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Astros&src=hash">#Astros</a> <a href="http://t.co/wJ85l2pnPy">http://t.co/wJ85l2pnPy</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23MLB&src=hash">#MLB</a></p>— Brian T. Based on a tweet from Smith earlier this season, he said not to expect Villar any time soon. I'm excited to have Elmore back. Hoping they have him start over Cedeno.
I thought the 40 man roster spot would go to Carlos Lee so he could retire an Astro. Oh wait, no, that's not right.
