Who knows? It's so hard to sort out how managers actually affect baseball teams. I thought Dave Martinez was cool because he's bilingual, but virtually all of the other candidates seemed the same to me.

It's always hard to tell, but in our situation I think it's even tougher. Who knows what they were really looking for, other than someone that would assure them that they would follow the high level stats and so forth. Whether he is great, good, average, poor or terrible, you can bet there will be plenty of guys wanting him fired by July, lol....part of the job I suppose
