Hoping for 82 wins next year, as it ain't looking too good for this year. So spoiled by the late 90s. So sick of this mediocrity.
right now they're on a pace to win about 79 games...which is about 10 more games than Vegas gave them on the over/under back in March. and it's about 13 more wins than the Pecota projection for them. In fact, they're already 4 games over their Pecota projection not that this makes them competitive or leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy about the 09 'stros...but just shines a light on how stupid all the "a 100 loss season is coming!!" crap was.
She's got nothing to worry about. Though he's trying to emulate her hairstyle, he's missing out in all the other departments that make her hot!
Didn't they play one in NY back in the 80s? I think it included a double hitter back when people got 2 for 1 tickets. I remember JD coming off the DL and throwing a gem, complete game I think, followed by a blowout in game 2 where Alex Trevino went bananas and drove in like 6 or 7 runs. Stros went on to lose 3 straight after but for one night it was fun!
My wild guess was 76 and I think there is a reasonable chance they don't reach that either with Roy and maybe Berkman out the rest of the year. Even if those guys have underperformed, their replacements won't likely be better.
Isn't the 2009 season still going on? (God you know your team sucks when we are already predicting a losing season for next year before this season is even over).
Really glad to see the Astros are coming to ATL for a weekend series. I'll be able to take my son to his first ballgame. Its even the weekend before his Bday.
