The Astros released their tentative 2009 schedule today. They open the season at home against the Cubs and end the season on the road against the Mets. http://houston.astros.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=hou&m=4&y=2009
That's going to be a looong wait. Here's hoping they finish that series 3-0, having outscored the Cubs 27-2, Roy having no-hit them on opening day, and Ahole Ramirez having torn an ACL trying cut off a Hunter Pence triple down the line. The Cubs are my new Br*ves. Screw the Cubs. Screw Wrigley. Screw Zambrano, screw Ahole Ramirez, screw Cubs fans, and screw Bud Selig. I hope I've made myself clear.
Well at least natural order will be restored and the Brewers will be battling it out all year with the Pirates and Reds, not like we actually did good against Pittsburgh. But don't underestimate the Cardinals next year with a healthy staff and some fresh young talent with Pujols at full strength even though one might think he already was. We're gonna have to spend some extra money to win next year and that should start by determining what the heck is going on with Ben Sheets arm? Drayton can't say the fans aren't showing up. He should have stole the Scouts from Florida and Oakland years ago and just payed them more. I don't know if you can actually say Tampa scouts are any good since they've had top picks every year for around 15 years now.
