Didn't say that fam We upgrade offensively Stay the same defensively Overall we become better with Melo than Rhynoo
I like this lineup and rotation... Paul Harden Anthony Capela Nene Gordon Ariza Tucker Moute Black Brown Qi I understand that D'Antoni's offense is predicated on small ball and the mysteries of the "Stretch Forward." However, I believe this is the lineup to put up against the Warriors that will be the most effective. Nobody will beat the Warriors at their own game so why not try something different? This allows for a proper NBA lineup with no glaring weakness. It has a two primary playmakers who can shoot, drive, or pass; an athletic wing with same abilities plus a post game; big men with proper size for rebounding and shot blocking with the benefit of playing pick-n-roll with the guards. I firmly believe in punishing the Warriors' small lineup with this style of attack rather than running around switching on every single one of their illegal moving screens, but that's just me. 25 years of watching basketball, I still prefer the more physical and balanced team.
Qi is not helping Rockets championship aspirations THIS season, would be shocked if was of any real impact next season either. Would love to be proven wrong tho.
Better enough to win a championship? You already said it wasn't. You've stated weak defense at the 4 is going to keep us from winning a championship. Yet, you apparently want Melo. I don't get it. We'll have defenders at the 4 behind Melo. Apparently Ariza, Tucker, and LMAM aren't good enough defensively playing platoon minutes at the 4 backing up Melo. So what's the answer?
No wonder we don't get along He a 40 yr old geezer selling insider news letters to get along I am 12 and retired
Nothing. My understanding is it's a done deal. It's a matter of the Knicks deciding what they want to do as far as which form of the trade they pull the trigger on. Knicks still trying to maximize return (3-way, 4-way, etc.). And now they're holding out hope for Kyrie. (Which simply ain't possible without Kristaps going out.) Knicks are basically hoping something changes in the trade market for Anderson. (Once again, highly unlikely.)
I definitely wouldn't bet on him. But in this age of diminished low post where a big man sets screens/picks and flashes to the rim or three point line, where quickness, speed, and switching are the vogue and even guys like DeMarcus is getting skinny while guys like Portzingis thrive, I'm saying we're trying to catch lightning in a bottle with Xi. The sooner he becomes a major contributor, the better. I'll be surprised if MDA doesn't give him a long look at the 5 in training camp to check the possibilities. We've got him tied down for a minuscule fraction of the salary cap for four years.
