Assuming no other roster moves are made, what should the rotation be?

    How do you figure?

I doubt Morris sees a single minute in the D league.

The only "DD moment" is the moment you are having right now: overreacting after a rookie's first preseason game.

Given the high density of games this team is going to play in such a short period of time. I think it would be wise to keep a bigger rotation than usual, so we can use our depth (one of our few strengths) against other teams.

    Kyle 28 / Flynn 12 / Dragic 8

    Martin 26 / Lee 16 / Dragic 6

    Budinger 22 / Williams 22 / Morris 4

    Scola 22 / Patterson 20 / Morris 6

    Hill 28 / Thabeet 14 / G.Smith 6

    * Parsons and Lin (if we keep him) get to go to the RGV-Vipers

How can Bud be 6th man if Lee and Pat players more minutes than he does?

LOL - I am not overeacting, I don't think anything can be gleaned from that game.

You wanna bet that he sees time in the D-league?

#Rockets @pdpatt said he's unsure on return date & is still day-to-day. "One day I feel great and the other day I may not feel so good."

    C - Hill/Thabeet
    PF - Patterson/Scola
    SF - I have no idea: Budinger=Williams=Morris/Parsons
    SG - Martin/Lee
    PG - Lowry/Dragic/Flynn

Ugh, I hope not. Morris shouldn't be handed the starting job, but he shouldn't waste his time and talent in the D-League.

Minutes might get weird given the 66 game schedule. But I think the rotations guys are going to be: Lowry, Martin, Budinger, Scola, Hill; Dragic, Lee, Williams and Patterson.

The other guys will have to take advantage of injuries and such things to earn minutes.

Good thread to start. I was thinking the same. I like your roster. I think Morris and Parsons will be better served in d-league as well.

If Hill continues on from where he left of last game. I would love to see him off the bench to run and crash boards with the likes of Dragic, lee, T-Will and Pat. That would be an awesome unit if T-Will and Hill can fit in.

As much I hate to say it but Im only saying it because am assuming there will beno other changes to the roster - Start Thabeet. It makes sense to keep him there with the Vets who can make up for his errors.

    Lowry/Dragic/
    Martin/Lee/
    Bud/?T-Will?
    Scola/Pat
    ?Thabeet?/?Hill?

It's too early to assume that T-Will is going to start mid-season. I would wait until early in the season to see how he plays.

I can't imagine Luis getting less than 30 minutes. I just don't see it. He may end up getting a few minutes at the 5 spot, depending on matchups. Scola has played there from time to time the last couple of seasons, with Yao out.

BINGO - would rep if I could

    Start of the season:
    Lowry / Dragic / Flynn
    Martin / Lee / Williams
    Budinger / Williams / Lee
    Scola / Patterson / Hill
    Hill / Thabeet / Smith

    Morris and Parson D league

    End of season:
    Lowry / Flynn
    Flynn
    Parson / Morris
    Patterson / Morris
    Hill / Smith
This is what is left of the Rockets as we now them now. What we trade for will round out the rotation.

-Lee, Williams, and Dragic are in the last year of contracts and have value they will be flipped by trade deadline. (the same could be said for Hill but I think KMH likes him a lot) - I hope I am wrong about Lee.
-Thabeet will fall out of the rotation (there is only so much the team can take)
-Scola or Martin (both class acts)will not make it as a Rocket trough December then the other is gone by the trade deadline.
-Budinger is filler in the Scola or Martin trade (he is worth a pick at the lest).
(sidenote: I wish Scola could stay as a mentor BUT he is to good of a player needs to start but so does Patterson and in time will be better than Scola IMO)

I think Scola gets 32 minutes a game - mostly at center. I would not be surprised by this line up.

    Lowry (32) / Dragic (14) / Flynn
    Martin (30) / Lee (28) / T-Will
    Budinger (30) / Parson (10)
    Patterson (28) / Hill (26)
    Scola (32) / Thabeet (10)

    Starters:
    PatPat
    Scola
    Budinger
    Kmart
    Lowry

    Bench:
    CLee
    MarcMor
    Dragic
JHill (until we can trade him)

    There's your 9 man rotation.

    Scrub minutes:
    TWill
    Lin

Up by 20 and 3 seconds left:
    Thabeet
