SGs are lacking near the bottom of the first round...not sure if we can find a SG that could make the rotation that low, of course they may be some hidden gems.

In a heartbeat, Asik is worth 14 alone.

Then you could fill holes at 14 and 23. Plus use 28 and 30 to trade up or stash a Euro with big upside. Plus you get Charlottes #1 next yr in a very stong draft. With Moreys draft track record you do this deal.

No way would I trade the #14 for Asik, unless all the good prospects were off the board already. Asik is a good player and I have always liked him. He has a lot of potential, but he's almost as much of a project as most of the guys in the draft.

I think if Morey can pull off a fair trade with the 14th pick and Asik being the main pieces then I would be alright with it. Asik would be a difference maker in the Rockets team defense, which is something we desperately need.

However, the other thing to keep in mind is that if the Rockets acquired Asik they could also turn around and include him as part of a package in a Chris Bosh trade or a sign and trade for Nene or Marc Gasol. I'm sure each of those scenarios are things that Morey will pursue after the CBA is signed. Being able to include a young defensive center in any deal would greatly improve his odds of getting something done with one of those teams.

ok, thats cool. however in that deal Minnesota gets 14/28/30 and next year's lottery, so it can't be that bad, right? I dunno lol

ok how about if Taj Gibson of the Chicago Bulls also goes to the Wolves and Jordan Hill also goes to the Wolves

So its 14/28/30/Charlotte pick + Hill + Gibson for the 2nd pick.

Don't right off Rich Cho's Bobcats! lol.

I guess horrible is an overstatement. Could turn out ok for them, but I think Cho's a pretty good GM. Worse case scenario for the Wolves, the Bobcats do well next season, and the Khan drafts a bunch of mediocre players (probably point guards.)

No way Minny accepts this. They want vets so they definitely wouldn't take on 4 more picks, and a project (hill). They might like getting gibson, but he won't start and they would be losing the #2 for him.

Taj Gibson???? Heythey want to continue to be second to the Heat? Thats there thing. Courtney Lee could have helped against Wade. Oh well. I guess no rings for Rose while the trio is in their primes.

The truth is that we won't be able to find a better player than Asik with the 14th pick. I'm for it.

I'd only trade the 14 pick for Asik if they throw in D-Rose

im pretty sure courtney lee will probably just miss another wide open lay-up when it really counts most just like he did in orlando if he played for chicago. because lee is yet another one of those type of nba players that only plays good during the regular season/ or on losing teams.
