I think defense is underrated, and he is by far a better defensive big than any other 14th pick.
We don't need a "skilled" ( which btw is a nice word for SOFT) big that shoots we need a BIG(sorry chuck) that can defend.

If Biyombo is off the board at #14, the Asik swap is a good deal. I would guess the Bulls would target Marshon Brooks at this pick (because the Pacers may pick him at #15). Then we can use #23 (or #28, if we can get that pick from the Bulls in the swap) on Mirotec to save as a future asset (since he is locked up on his Euro contract until 2015).

The Question is, Who will be the sleeper the Morey picks?

    He isn't bad,but I wouldn't give the 23th for him. 14th,no chance,even though this is a weak draft.

I'd definitely do the 23rd pick for Asik. I was very impressed with his athleticism in the Miami series. He's a guy that can step out and disrupt the pick and roll and have enough length/speed to get back on the drive.

14th....meh. Depends on what we like there. I may trade Lee + 14th for Asik + Charlottes 2012 pick if it's unprotected.

I would probably pull the trigger for Asik if it only cost us the #14 pick. But what do I know. Asik and Thabeet under the tutelage of K. McHale sounds fine by me.

It is unprotected, and I would do that trade without hesitation.

They want Courtney Lee. Courtney Lee plus the 23rd pick sounds right to me. We draft at 14 and pick up Asik for Lee and 23rd pick. Add in 2nd round pick if necessary. That is super fair for both sides. Especially Bulls.

Courtney Lee sure would have helped them against Dwayne Wade.......... Just saying Bulls fans. Just saying.

Morey get it done. Our starting center at 7ft for Courtney Lee, 23rd pick, and 2nd round pick. You just upgraded immensely and helped out the Bulls with a starter and two draft picks. You still draft at 14 and hope to land some more talent. You come away from draft with possibly two starters and one is definate.

In a draft with no sure things, I'd do this in a second. Asik has already proven himself, in his FIRST SEASON, to be a legit seven foot defensive stud. Plus we get another pick out of this? Pssh, yes please.

    Do it, Morey!

Think about it? Bullswould make out like Bandits. They get...

    Courtney Lee starter
23 pick in draft. potential player to add to already Championship caliber roster
they already have 28th and 30th pick in first round
add in our second round draft pick

    We get Asik
draft at 14 with our own pick

Huge gain for both teams involved. Absolutely monstrous catch for Bulls and Rockets.

I take it you love giving more than receiving.

I'd rather trade the 14 pick for a bag of horse s**t.

No thanks to this trade. Asik is not worth a lottery pick or CLEE.

I'm definitely for that deal, especially if we are not high on anyone left around that number.

He might be serviceable enough center with a good backup.

I would like for us to go after Nene, though. But, he might be to expensive.

Probably a sleeper that helps us get a 10th or 9th seed in the West

Asik was better than Noah and the series might have been extended if he hadn't gotten hurt.
