Asante Samuel : possible target via trade ?

Man, I would gladly give the Eagles a 5th round pick for Asante. I know the money will be an issue next offseason, but that talent for that price has caused me to look twice.

 

I think the problem is we cant afford him this offseason. I feel like we can win it all, I'd have no problem getting Asante and simply cutting him next year if that was possible (especially with such a tough opposing QB schedule), but that doesn't seem to be the Texans MO this year. Having to maneuver around the cap is really starting to grind my gears.

 

Samuel is going to Atlanta for a 7th round pick.

I know he was making a lot more money, but that makes a 4th and a 3rd rd swap for DeMeco look like a great deal.

 

Is the DRob experiment over?

7 rd pick and he restructured his contract to a 3 yr $18 mil deal. Nice pick up for the Falcons.

We barely have enough room to sign the players we are about to draft...no room for an additional 6 million.
