His contract ends after next season. However, the Rockets will have his Full Bird Rights and can re-sign for whatever it takes. Or, SnT him if it's not working for both sides.

That is...assuming this isn't a big wad of BS.

It might be Aaron Brooks in the deal; I'm hoping Luther goes.

So Battier is what to us now? I know Ron is def. going to start, no way he takes the back seat. Battier and Alston for a legit PG, don't know if it's Iverson or not, but a legit PG will put us in dyNASTY mode.

Battier is where he should be. The first guy off the bench.

Wow! I had to go to the Chronicle website to believe that it was true. That done, this is ging to be great. Previously Artest scared me as a time bomb who would go off and ruin at least one season for the team owning him. But that year will not be this year. He is playing for a contract and I think will be on best behavior and maximum effort.

I'm drooling over the defense of Artest, Battier and Tmac in an arc around Yao Ming, with a guard (I assume Rafer) dogging the ball.

dang, you leave for a few hours and it changes from Allen Iverson to Ron Artest.

I am half glad half scared.

Hopefully our good chemistry team fits him like a glove... and not one like OJ couldn't fit.

I request no crazy Artest and all kick booty on the floor Artest.
